  1. Sorry to hear things aren't so great. Hope things work out for you, Goblinz! Oh, and I got the knobs. Thank you!
  2. Just how phat is the resonance? Could you quantify the phatness on a scale of, say, 1 to 20? I need to make sure I'll get my money's worth of phat...
  3. Sweet. Can't wait to replace the guitar knobs I've been using for awhile now. Fifteen make my wilba-box weigh about fifty pounds. I almost don't need to work out anymore. Here's to silicone, ABS plastic and a return to the gym! Thanks again! Tristan
  4. I would hazard that you'd probably be disappointed by what you found, were you to open one. AFIK, most of these supplies aren't really serviceable; All of the electronics are housed in this icky resinous goo, and I've found that the plastic case likes to eat fingers for breakfast...
  5. Oh... Good point. :-[ What should I do with all those nuts and washers, now? ;-)
  6. FWIW I too had the same issue, though I said 2mm would be fine, figuring that if it didn't work I could knock .5mm off the back later. I have yet to glue up the panels, but I can confirm that as of right now (with all the 10mm standoffs in placeon the PCD) all tact switches have a good feel, and though I can only get a thread and a half, the nuts will also fit on the encoders (washer included) with the panels at 2mm thickness. Good luck!
  7. Ah, I thought that might be a problem... :( What length did you end up using?
  8. Hey all, I'm a big-time lurker, low post-count kind of guy, so you've probably not seen much of me. Greetings! I'm also lazy when it comes to connecting circuit boards together. So... I was wondering if there was anyone out there looking for an alternative to all the ribbon cable business (ie. cutting, stripping, bleeding) and would be interested in something more befitting a lazy person such as myself, like pre-cut FFC with solder tabs: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=A9AAT-0802F-ND I'm open to ideas, thoughts, comments, and would be willing to organize a bulk order should enough people prove interested. You can also tell me to stuff it and I will gladly pick up my XActo knife and go home. ;) -Tristan
  9. I know I'm a newb here, but I couldn't help but chime in on this one. I work at an outdoor music venue near Chicago, USA. During the season, we do a good mix of classical and a wide variety of "pop" acts. The Beach Boys played our main stage with "special guest" John Stamos this year. If you're from the US, or if you have a thing for American sitcoms, you might remember him as Uncle Jessie on "Full House". Anyway, the cable for his Gretsch went under the drum riser and got plugged into nothing. His SM 58 did get a channel on the board, but the fader stayed down for the whole show. To his credit, though, he was not a terrible drummer. :)
  10. It depends. Do you prefer reverse osmosis or activated charcoal?
  11. Count me in for 1 base + 1 CS kit. Will be waiting patiently, but with bated breath. ;)
  12. E-Mail sent. Such good timing, too! Thanks for the opportunity! ;D
