  2. Hi Gioxannes, fine to see that someone else is actually trying to integrate a keyboard. I´m still working on my mb64-based-keyboardcontroller-mb-project - searching for nice knobs and a concept for the controllers. But I´m planning, since I bought 3 sids a mb-sid-keyboard, eventually integrated into this keyboard. Does your keyboard have a dynamic-scan-matrix, an on/off-scan matrix or is it without electronics - and how will you solve the connection to your midibox Best regards clem!
  3. Hi, eventually the sid walkthrough at ucapps could help. Best regards clem! -seems I was to slow
  4. Thanks for the reply - not so much people interested here in Direct-Music-Application and Handiwork. Ok - I´ve done some soldering work with another slaughterd böhm-manual. This is just a prototyoe - quick and dirty  - shouldn´t win a beauty contest, the inverter is still missing but the contacts work here are some pics: I will test at the weekend. Best Regards
  5. Ok - it seems as if I have, free to the german expression "Versuch macht klug" (trial makes wise), to build a scanmatrix-board as shown in schematic. Best regards clem!
  6. hi there, at the weekensd I had a little time to push the project forward. Now I have the metal part for the top, but it needs some drilling and milling and some black colour. Before I can do it I need some good looking buttons and knobs and a red inverse display. But I have the idea to connect the keys of the keybed directly to the core. I´ve studied the posts of qbas. But my keybed has no scanmatrix but 2 "Sammelschienen", "Ruhekontakt" and "Arbeitskontakt" and I thought of rearranging them, that they work like a fatar scanmatrix. I will cut it in parts of 8 notes one of these can be seen in the schematic. Will this work? I´m not that firm in electronics can s.o. check this? Best regards clem!
  7. uups - think I need a bit more study before trying to help :(
  8. hi, I´m not a specialist but but I have some ideas: did you change the code? is it like a midi on? is it always the same note? - try to log the midi stream and separate the event(s) sounds as if there is a problem with the adressbus - perhaps it helps to press the ICs into sockets or to resolder some pins. Good luck
  9. if you aren´t that handy with a carving knife, what about these: http://www.hps-woodpicks.de/9.html
  10. hi, hope you will use some self graved wooden knobs ;) reminds me a little bit of my midibockswurst Best regards clem!
  11. Hallo, hast du vielleicht schlechte Lötstellen oder Kontaktprobleme am IC? Ich hatte einen Wackelkontakt/Kurzschluss am LCD welcher ganz eigenartige Effekte verursachte. Schöne Grüße clem!
  12. Little search brought this: The Aftertouch problem is solved at http://www.doepfer.de/service/LMK3V2_Service.pdf at page 11, a schematic can be found at page 16. Sorry the manual is german only but the schematic is universal :) best regards
  13. that´s a really interesting found ;) thx the axis-keybed reminds me to modern cherry-keyboards - maybe I will slaughter one and pimp it with hexagonal bricks from a board-game. At first I won´t need any velocity-sensitivity.
  14. Hi all, where can I buy hexagonal switches? As seen here: Best regards clem!
  15. hi all, meanwhile I´ve made a bottom for my housing out of steel 0,75 mm (pictures will follow) and can begin to place the electronics inside. Perhaps I will change the wingman-wheels to more professional ones from fatar. For the top I will choose a modular concept with min. 5 panel elements first one will be a main control panel for the midibox with LCD, some switches and 1 or 2 encoders, which will be placed in the middle, and second one will be a controller-knobs-panel with 4 pots and 4 switches, (maybe later expanded with another LCD and more pots and switches, the rest will be reserved for later adds ;) When I thougt about controllers I got the idea that I would like to build an aftertouch-sensor. In an old manual for the lmk3 from doepfer I found that in the early days they´ve done it with piezos. Is it possible to connect a piezo to the ain and regulate it with a L7805 to 5V? http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheets/270/9138_DS.pdf Who has done s.t. similar? Best regards clem!
  16. Good idea! ... there must be ... somewhere ... a broken toaster of course it´s thin, but if we fix it on a plastic strip it must work - I hope so - if not we need a wire with a bigger diameter made of other material.clem!
  17. hi and thx for the quick respond, Yes I´ve seen that, but it has a to low resistance. For our aim, building wire-controlers, we need a diameter of 0,01 mm with a resistance of 11580 Ohm. I think with this wire we can also build shorter controlers of 30 or 15 cm - hope they won´t get to hot 8) Regards
  18. Mmh there´s s.t. better I think: Isa Chrom 60 http://www.isabellenhuette.de/pdf/WIDER_LEG/DE/ISA-CHROM.pdf at D=0,011 mm seems to be ideal for an 85 cm Wire-Controler another one is Isaohm http://www.isabellenhuette.de/pdf/WIDER_LEG/ISAOHM-ISABELLENHUETTE-R.pdf at D=0,01 but where can I buy it as an end-user ???
  19. hi there, interesting video. Are there some infos about the making of this controlribbon. I have googled a little bit about "konstantan" and found this: http://www.spulen.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=543 Who has sampled experience with resistor-wire-controlers. Best regards clem!
  20. Hi, of course, I had to ate the Bockwurst in a Linseneintopf but not alone. It was very good. I needed a housing for the coding work for my keyboard - and this was the cheapest way to get a shielded housing. :D When I built it I thought a short moment about combining a can with a tape sensor to some guitar like controller. Happy Easter clem! controller.GIF controller.GIF
  21. Pretty nice work! What´s about your code, is it still ready? I´m interested in some input for filtering especially in how to solve the menue-structure for the user´s interface in my keyboard midification project. Best regards clem!
  22. Hi all, my keyboard project needs a little more metal and coding work. Meanwhile I put some hardware into a low budget case ;-). It consists of: 1 core-module 1 din-module 3 Pots 2 Buttons 1 encoder 1 16x2 LCD Here are some pictures:
  23. Some ideas about making microtuning possible on nearly every midi instrument with more than 7 voices/parts that can be triggered on different Midi-channels. If we want to realize this, we must use the Pitchbend on the different Midi-channels. So at first we need to make the Midi-configuration at our sound module for all the eight channels equal. How to build the program-routine? At first we need 12 Bytes “MIDI-Note-Finepitch-VALUE1-12†, for the twelve different notes we want to detune, where we can store our finepitch-value from -63 to 64 or 0-127 and we need a place to save the information whether this note is in use at the moment and if on which midi channel this is happening and how much events there are “Number-Of-Notes-Active1-12â€. So we need another 12 Bytes to store this upper 4 Bits=Channel lower ones=Activity. And at least we need 8 stores where we can place the information whether a Midi-Channel is in use or not. This means another Byte where we store this bitwise called “Midi-Active-Channelsâ€. I´m not firm in programming so we need someone with assembler- know-how to program this but I try to explain my thoughts: if Midi-Input-Event=Note-ON on channel x fetch the Finepitch-Value of this note if Finepitch-Value is still in use send Midi-Output-Event on the used Channel encrement Number-Of-Notes-Active else find free Midi-Channel send Finepitch-Value as Pitchbend set Bit at Midi-Active-Channels encrement Number-Of-Notes-Active send Midi-Output-Event on this channel endif if Midi-Input-Event=Note-OFF or ON with Velocity=0 on channel x fetch the Finepitch-Value of this note fetch the channel send Midi-Output-Event on the used Channel decrement Number-Of-Notes-Active if Number-Of-Note-Active=0 unset Bit at Midi-Active-Channels endif endif other events or controllers must be duplicated or filtered for the different channels eventually there could be timing problems I think
  24. Hi stryd_1, yes it is sys ex, I´ve pasted a bad extract, here is the upper part of page 50 ;):
  25. Hi, sorry it is Note on/off with fraction. Users-manual page 50. Here´s a scan
