  1. Hi. I updated the Wiki with technical information about the MB-LRE8x2CS rev 4.6. Best regards, Jerome.
  2. Dear members, First, I excuse myself to all that I didn't answer individually more early but my life didn't let me lot of time to do so before. I come back to you to indicate I've finished the design of the new layout of the MB-LRE8x2CS (Rev4.6). Thorsten advised me to implement 15 (odd number) leds in the ledring + 1 led below. It will be more usefull for PAN feedback e.g. (cf. Nord Lead). He made also some thorough test showing the efficiency of the ULNs. Using them will be greatly recommended. I have also designed 2 boards that can be stacked one on the other (a "sandwich" concept very famous here): >MB-LR4x2CS_Rev2.1: (DOUTx3 + 8 SMD ledrings). 128X 1206 SMD leds already populated. There is 8 holes to let pass the encoders toward. >MB-E4x2CS_Rev1.1: The encoders board (DINx4 + 8 encoders). The space of the board let me place the footprint for switches (for standalone uses, you can populate it by 16 tact switches instead 8 encoders). I will come back to you after spending some holidays and solving some logistic problems (...SMD) before starting a new bulk order (at least for the 8x2 board). I'm thinking also maybe providing an encoder BO. Best regards, Jerome.
  3. Thank you Duggle! Best regards, Jerome.
  4. I don't understand clearly what do you plan to do? What it is?...I don't see anything. Best regards, Jerome.
  5. Sold.
  6. New shipping cost to EU: 1.80€ (standard) / 7.40€ (with insurance 45€ & tracking number) for 1/2 units 4.10€ (standard) / 9.70€ (with insurance 45€ & tracking number) for 3/4 units. I have 4 units in stock. Best regards, Jerome.
  7. Hi. I sell some LPC17 based Core PCBs. They are FR4 material,1.6mm thickness, green Soldermask, 1 OZ copper, HASL, and electrically tested. 9€ each (+ shipping). Only Paypal paiement. Shipping cost to EU is 1.80€ (standard) / 7.40€ (with insurance 45€ & tracking number) for 1 unit and 4.10€ (standard) / 9.70€ (with insurance 45€ & tracking number) for 2 to 5 units. I have 5 units in stock. PM or email me if you're interested. Best regards, Jerome.
  8. Hi MaG2k. I made some prototype during the previous BO and we have shared about it with Polykobol in this time. He prefered to choose this model even if it was a prototype (= not yet tested). The board is 30cm long and the pitch between the controlers is slightly more little than the LRE8x2. I have some spare PCBs, if you are interested email or PM me. Regards, Jerome. Hi MaG2k.
  9. I received it today. The footprint is ok but unfortunatly I have no populated LPC Core to test it. I will able to test it only onto the prototype board at the end of the design. Best regards, Jerome.
  10. ...I will receive it monday. Best regards, Jerome.
  11. In the same time I made a "round" of the MagJack manufacturers and I found an equivalent of the SI-60024-F: It is the Hanrun HY931110C. The only differences are the diameter of the pins which are slightly bigger and the LEDs which are simple LED and not duoLED. I made an Eagle library and I will use this reference on the upcoming LPC1769 core I'm designing. I'm in communication with Hanrun for a big order for a future BO, the price should be 2€ each. Best regards, Jerome.
  12. I plan to do a bulk order but I would like to finish before I'm currently working on. If I start a BO, I'm sure I won't have time to go more far with the design. Best regards, Jerome.
  13. I just want to inform the community that I upgraded the design of the MB-LRE8x2CS PCB to the revision 2.7 (see the Whishlist section for the improvements). I have also finished the design of the 4×2 and 8×1 boards to complete the serie and I'm working on a little board with only 4x1 encoders. All the boards have the same pitch between controllers. Best regards, Jerome.
  14. Hi Shuriken. Any news about the compatibility of your "Magjack"? Best regards, Jerome.
  15. Hi Francois. Yes you have to connect the SIL pinheader to a DINx2 or DINx4 module. There was initialy not enough space to put them on the board. In the whishlist, they could fit the board only if we decide to remove the 2 ULNs. Best regards, Jerome.
  16. Hi Dreadknot, The link is in the BOM section: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=mb-lre8x2cs_pcb#bom Regards, Jerome.
  17. Yes (but not too much) >>>>>> BO Wikipage Regards, Jerome.
  18. I have top edge taped what I though be the most critical heavy envelopes but the problem was I couldn't realy inspect the envelopes before buying them and the quality of them wasn't what I imagined. The ideal way would be to use cardboard but the price of the shipping material (and the shipping cost) would be far most costly (and so the PCBs also). Envelopes with enough space to handle the PCB in one dimension is automaticaly too big in the other dimension and as the PCBs are heavy, they move inside the envelope and hit the edges if the postman hold the envelope at the side where there are no the boards. ...I don't know if my explanations are enough clear (I would be more explicit in french language). Best regards, Jerome.
  19. I do not want to erase your whishlist entry, we are here to debate of them and I'm not absolutly closed about the idea of a 4x4 controlers board, maybe several people also. Shipping them would be far more practical  Best regards, Jerome. PS: The new forum interface is intriguing sometimes.
  20. And I will make the PCB bigger/different only if there will be a consensus of most of members about it. I have already made a prototype of the PCB with 8x1 (in line) controlers (potentially more usefull for everyone), but I made it with 300mm instead of 344mm for MB-LRE8x2CS. I don't think it will be very useful and not very possible regarding the already density of the PCB routing. Eagle. Best regards, Jerome.
  21. No, only the PCBs (I have no more SIL and DIL resistor networks). I will send you an email. Regards, Jerome.
  22. Hi orbital. Did the envelope opened or torn when you receive it? As I have still some PCBs, I'm ready exceptionaly to send again your PCBs if you are ready to pay again the shipping cost (...I'm not a company, it will come from my own money). Best regards, Jerome.
  23. I made a little change in the Wikipage splitting in 2 pages the technical and the bulk order information of the MB-LRE8x2CS PCB. In the eventual project of a next revision I added a whishlist of improvements of the PCB you can upgrade or debate in this thread. This is some comments about them: Changing IN/OUT sockets by polarized sockets and improving the silkscreen (to avoid confusing SI/SO pin). Moving cap C5 (too close to the IN socket). Trying to move some critical vias. What about the use of ULN2803s? Waiting member's feedback comparing the use with/without them. Trying to add DINX2 onboard to handle the 16 encoder switches (start/end of the chain?). Mainly possible without the use of the 2 ULNs. What about the size of the PCB? Regards, Jerome.
  24. Hi jojjelito. I arrived to the same conclusion it seems to be a very good candidate so if you plan to go to look further, please, stay us informed. Best regards, Jerome.
  25. Reichelt answer me: Regards, Jerome.
