  1. Just FYI: This is my idea of the front panel for a 9,5" Rack.
  2. Hello, I'm looking for alternatives to Farnell for the TLV5630IDW for AOUT_NG. Has somebody left 1-2 pieces? They are needed for my modular version of the MBCV. Thanks, Sylwester
  3. Building MIOS Studio for Linux Here are my instructions for a successful build of MIOS Studio for Linux. I've tested it under Ubuntu 10.04 and it works without any problems. Please note: This requires a little bit of linux knowledge, as the JUCE v1.51 contains a bug in the MIDI port enumeration, which needs to be patched beforehand in order to use MIDI. Prerequisites - GCC Toolchain and GNU essential utilities (Package "build-essential" for Debian / Ubuntu) - Subversion (svn) - Copy of the trunk of the MIOS32 repository (svn://svnmios.midibox.org/mios32/trunk) - Copy of JUCE v1.51 (http://www.rawmaterialsoftware.com/juce.php) (Placeholder - Work in Progress. Please stay tuned.) For now, I'm able to provide a binary x86-64 release of the 2.2.2 version (see attachment). The MD5 Checksum of this file is is: d43ad373bb8b5c4ca856a4e4e5c0561a SHA1 Checksum: 11b4481193196ea675ded51f678c1e2740586e28 Update: Official Binaries for Linux are provided by TK on ucapps.de in the MIOS Studio section! Thanks TK.
  4. Hey, FYI: I found some interesting LED tactile buttons http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10440 which should be pretty good suited for a BLM.
  5. From the album: Sylwester's stuff

The wood is not perfect and I think it's better looking with this back panel.
  6. Okay, I'll find out where I can get the TLV5630IDW for the best price and then update this post.
  7. Hi, Is anybody organizing or would anybody be interested in a bulk order in germany for AOUT_NG parts (including the TLV5630IDW)? I'm thinking of managing such an bulk order if anyone is interested. - Sylwester
  8. Well, as nILS already said MIDI is quite slow and you will be probably experiencing some bandwidth problems really soon. The source code I've got from nILS looks quite promising and could be modified in a quite short time in order use it with MIDI. I'll be doing that at the week-end and if nILS would agree, I'd share the source then.
  9. Hi, I have a MOS6581 with a broken filter but the rest is functional (but for some reason, there a minimal amount of solder on one pin). It could be used with an external filter like SSM2044 etc. PM if you want it ;) PS: No, I won't put it on eB*y as others do.. I think I'm too faitful for doing that.
  10. I'm also interested in 8 pieces if there are any left.
  11. Hi, In case any needs a C128 enclosure for his MIDIbox project for free send me a PM. I'm living in Kiel, Northern Germany. But shipping might also be possible if anyone want's to pay the shipping.
  12. Hey nILS, Heh, okay. Yeah, sure using MIDI for this purpose is quite low-bandwith and low-range, but in some situations it's the only one way in order to control the gear. Are you willing to share your source code, by the way? Is this PIC or STM32 based?
  13. Hi, I'd like to write something about an idea I had recently. I've been thinking of building a stand-alone programmable MIDI Envelope Generator + LFO based on the MIDIbox core which almost has the LFO settings as used in the MIDIbox sequencer v4, but with more (and programmable) waveforms/ wavetables and an envelope generator (ADSR/ADHSR) that might be internally routed by a routing matrix. From the technical point of view, I've been thinking about a box according to the KISS-principle. A 2x40 character LCD, a few buttons and one menu encoder, 4 x MIDI-Out, 4 x MIDI-In.. What do you think about such an idea? Anyone interested?
  14. First, I'd check the traces connected to the shift registers (74HC165) and the solder points. If you could make some close-up pictures I could check the it visually.
  15. Are these soft-touch knobs with "D"-shaped axis? Do you have any vendor/part-number for them?
