Due to defferencies in algorithms i think there's no way to recreate the same sound. There's sysex files at soundcloud so anyone can continue research =)

@Hawkeye yes, but it's photoresist which in not hard enough.
After successful developing of etching mask i'll cover corners and sides with spraypaing to protect them from etching.

i'm using POSITIV20 photoresist spray. Just googled and found out that toner transfer mainly used =)

Good practice is desoldering/soldering chips from old soundcards for example, or any other broken hardware.

Next will be easier. My first SMT experience was replacing of QFP64 size chip, so now im afraid only PQFP176 (ECHO Audiofire waiting for me =)

Friend of mine brought me two broken Alesis SR-16's to make one working from them. Repaired both. Now one is mine. Sounds excellent, but not for electronic music =)
