Alex E Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 I just cannibalized a Yamaha PSR-31 and found 2 YM chips: YM2812 + YM3301. It looks like the 3301 was for the PCM drums on board, and the other one was for FM. I found very little info on these chips and I was wondering can make a Midibox with one of them? Smithy Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 Id suggest circuit bending it instead if youre interested in it.I have a yamaha PSR 48 myself rippped apart, but didnt get around to bending it yet!Theres 2 PCB's connected by short cables soldered to the boards, so it will make it a bit awkard!Must check out which fm chip it has again.
