georgecha
Hello,I am running a project for 6 months now. I have set up a digital system based on nuendo 4 and i am mixing live concerts with it. Right now as control surfaces i am using Behringer bcf's 2000 and bcr 2000 together. My point is that i want to make a custom made big midi control surface that will look like an analog mixer with recallable faders and pots. I think this is the proper place to do it. Please i will appreciate your help on this subject. I have all the project on paper and what i want to do, but i need help to start.Best Regards

doc
Hi again,it seems that YOUR KEYBOARD WON'T WORK RIGHT ....Please read through ucapps first. Some of your wishes can be done. If you want the controller with nuendo, the Midibox LC might be your choice. For 32 Faders you'll need 4 of them. Then you'll have Input, EQ, Rec, solo, Mute on every channel. Your other wishes (Gain, Phase, etc) won't work with the LC protocol. Some of your thoughts can be implementet by several midibox64e units. But read yourself a bit more into that, to find the benefits / limitations of each model and how to combine them.Another hint:Almost every noob wants to build a "big" controller. Most of them are gone as quick as they came.Do yourself a favour and start building a small box first. Build a core, a DINx4, a DOUTx4 (or order ready kits from SmashTV). Doing this you'll learn more for your big controller. greetsDoc
georgecha
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. I WILL DO THAT AND READ A LITTLE BIT MORE. SO WHEN I PLAN TO MAKE IT BIG, I WILL BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE. ITS MY JOB. ITS NOT ONLY A HOBBY FOR ME.I HAVE ALSO 3 SPONSORSHIPS FOR DEVELOPING THIS PROJECT (PRESONUS,STEINBERG,RODE)BUT THANKS FOR THE ADVICES I WILL CONTINUE LIKE THAT. IN CASE THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO TELL MEBEST REGARDS, GEORGE
doc
ok.But please don't write all in capital letters. It's hard to read.andOne Thing you shouldn't forget:I HAVE ALSO 3 SPONSORSHIPS FOR DEVELOPING THIS PROJECT (PRESONUS,STEINBERG,RODE)It's nice, that you have sponsors. But don't forget: It is a non-commercial project. Please be sure, you've told that your sponsors. You (they) can't make any benifit out of it.greetsDoc
georgecha
Of course I know about the non commercial project. They know also that they cannot make any profit from the actual result (the mixer)But they can make profit by selling more of their products that are being used in this project. For example nuendo 4, preamplifiers.......Dont worry I want it only for my own effort and maybe if i become better in this section i can also help other people to develop projects, like you do now with me.Thanxx, George
