paul_winterhater
This looks interesting, does anyone know more about this? It looks like you can design your own effects and save them on the pedal. $199 with the hardware doesn't seem to bad.http://line6.com/tcddk/

Digineural
I actually use a line 6 pod and found that when switching to DSP on a pc that there is some unwanted latency. Maybe its my sound card but I prefer direct hardware. But if you do try this out, let me know how it goes. I'd like to minimize my rig as much as possible. Therezin
...switching to DSP on a pc that there is some unwanted latency...It looks like you just do the programming on a PC, then load your program onto it via USB in much the same way as you can write MidiBox code and upload it over Midi. Since Line6 talk about lending the pedal to others, I think it's safe to assume you don't need it connected to a PC to work it.Either way, it sounds like a cool idea - I like their ToneCore stuff and the idea of programming one myself sounds awesome. Only problem is that I don't have $200 kicking around :-[
nILS
Connection to a pc is only necessary to upload a new application. You guys might be care to check this out too: http://www.openstomp.com/Or get the propeller starter kit for $99: http://www.parallax.com/Store/Microcontrollers/PropellerProgrammingKits/tabid/144/ProductID/382/List/1/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName
Doug Wellington
I was on the list to get an openstomp, but the $350 price tag was a bit much for me. I may get the Line6 pedal - it's the same DSP as we're using in the Qix...
