napierzaza
I was hesitant about making a SEQ because of the buttons, but I just found what I need in the scrap pile! Woo, buttons and panel mount midi connectors! Looking good now!

napierzaza
Anyone know how I can get an eagle library for something like these? I think it's going to make my life easier if I make a PCB.
Futureman
Anyone know how I can get an eagle library for something like these? napierzaza
Well, I was going to, but I realized that if I were to make a 4x8 (or more) grid it will max out the vero that I have available to me. But I have some blank copper-clad that would be larger and might work better.
Futureman
really?http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PKG5-CIRCUIT-PANEL-PCB-DIY-Prototype-Board-130X250-C5_W0QQitemZ120312702703QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBI_Connectors_Switches_Wire?hash=item120312702703&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318This is what I used... cheap too. arumblack
There are some switches like that in the eagle Switch-misc library. I have the same or similar switches taken from old 911 call center equipment that I am using for my seq. I started on the vero board but I am currently working on a pcb. I got halfway through a 4x8 matrix board before I decided it probably would be easier in the long run and more reliable to make a pcb. I would have needed two of these for the entire Button duo led matrix.......I don't remember if that library is a stock library or one I dl'ed from cadsoft, and I think there were some other switch libraries with similar. Mine were Schadow switches and the lib I used was not a schadow lib, but there are many clones of this type of switch.
napierzaza
my switches are schadow to, thanks, i'll look for itEDIT: do you know the name of the plug in? I didn't see anything that sounded like the module you mentioned.

napierzaza
Weird, I had it installed already, I guess it's default in this version. Thanks for the link though! Very helpful.
