toneburst
Would the dual-gang version ofhttp://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0387824#headerbe suitable as feedback pots for the MB-6582?Or if not, anyone know of an alternative UK supplier of a product that would do the job? I've trawled around a little, but haven't found anything yet from my usual suppliers.a|x
Wilba
20.4mm body diameter... does not suit the default rear panel holes. The easy guide for you, if you don't have a rear panel yet, those pots are aligned with the sockets. strophlex
What about this one?http://www.conrad-international.com/?article=446009
toneburst
Hi strophlex,I think that one has a linear response, whereas I think I need a logarithmic one.a|x
nILS
On the feedback pots linear/alorithmic doesn't really matter.
toneburst
On the feedback pots linear/alorithmic doesn't really matter.Ah, OK. I can get hold of 470k dual-gang linear pots relatively easily from UK suppliers. What exact part did you use, Wilba, and from which supplier, if you don't mind me asking?a|x
stryd_one
On the feedback pots linear/alorithmic doesn't really matter.Given that it's a feedback loop the response is exponential so a linear pot will give you finer control though. Either will work.
Wilba
I use 500K dual-gang linear pots, from local electronics shop.I think anything in the range 100K-1M would be OK. It's being used as a voltage divider so it doesn't really matter too much what the value is, but obviously you don't want to put too much load on the audio outputs or you won't get any audio going out the sockets. So MINIMUM 100K. Use smaller ohm at your own risk.
toneburst
Ah,thanks Wilba. I had assumed log because they're being used as audio level pots.I think I should be able to get hold of 470k linear quite easily.Cheers,a|x
toneburst
I'm so far failing to find anything suitable. It looks like what I need are miniature ones, as the panel holes are 7.5mm in diameter, but I haven't been able to find any suppliers in the UK who sell dual/gang pots in this size and resistance. Any UK MB6582 builders out there who have managed to source some?a|x

tonysnail
I figured the ones from Maplin (the 470k linear ones) are fine for me, but then I'm bodging my whole thing into an old C64 case and I want the knobs on the front panel, along with a patched in delay pedal :-)
