grizz Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hey all does anyone know where I can get a hold of 6-10 511-M74HC165 shift registers? Digikey and Mouser are out, and the estimated ship date is sometime in October... I might die of impatience before I get my MB-808 done :-) cheers, grizz
rosch Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 what does the 6-10 511-M part mean? something special or just the ordinary guys here: http://www.reichelt.de/?;ACTION=3;LA=444;GROUP=A2231;GROUPID=2930;ARTICLE=3155;START=0;SORT=artnr;OFFSET=100;SID=25jY1oUqwQARkAAF25plA910eb41956018a8f640a49d4f09f4ebe
grizz Posted May 18, 2010 Author Report Posted May 18, 2010 Sorry, 6-10 was quantity, and the other was part of the mouser #. I copied and pasted and then forgot to edit. Thanks! I can't read German, but I think I can figure out of to purchase them. Cheers, grizz
nILS Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Any 74HC165 will do :-) Which means reichelt, conrad, mouser, rs, digikey, ... all have them.
TK. Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Go to http://www.findchips.com and enter 74hc165 into the search mask :) Best Regards, Thorsten.
Wilba Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 grizz: that's the one I normally buy for kits. I've had to buy Mouser 512-MM74HC165N for the current batch of sammichSID. I think Digikey had some also but they were more expensive.
grizz Posted May 18, 2010 Author Report Posted May 18, 2010 Thanks for the replies. I like the chip search... I'll be using that in the future I'm sure. I went with these 771-74HC165N from Mouser. Cheers, Grizz
BuriedCode Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 When I'm stuck for common parts (such as HC logic) I just go to ebay :D The UK, US, canada, and of course 'china', have lots of electronics shops wher eyou can by one, ten, even batches of 100 of common logic in DIP or SMT for reasonable prices. Usually about 50% of what you would get from a company like mouser. But you're not guaranteed the quality/reliability as you are with a large electronics distributor, altohugh I haven't had any 'dead chips' yet.
