syamajala
Here are some pics of my FM's control surface. Its not done yet. I'm going with a blue and white color scheme. Since the backlight for my lcd screen is blue and the text is white.
sidmonster
wow, is that 9v battery almost dead? or is that really big resistor? and what's the point of testing LED with wrong voltage?
Hawkeye
powering ledz with anything below 7v is schoolboy business
syamajala
I didn't know there was a wrong voltage to test leds with. The battery is new, the resistor is 220 ohms.
sidmonster
powering ledz with anything below 7v is schoolboy business  How do you increase the voltage sent from DOUT?
jojjelito
There's this thing called a transistor :geek: Just saying.
Hawkeye
you are mean :-) and i know why the LEDs are so white :-)
jojjelito
Aww, I didn't mean to be sarcastic :console: Sorry 'bout that. The question just baffled me. Anywho, direct voltage (always on) is another option, discrete transistors, transistor arrays (3046, or ULN 200x for larger loads) etc are there for the sidmonster to look at. Or, use CD4000-stylee logic (DON'T confuse with 74HC4xxx!) like so: RG Keen explains.
Hawkeye
Just to avoid hate mails from people who burned down their houses with overpowered ledz: LEDz have rights, too. And 40 hours per week max worktime. Overlord cat therefore doesn´t approve. Use laserz instead! :frantics: Edited June 18, 2011 by Hawkeye
syamajala
I made a mistake by putting the rotary encoders so close to one another. Its almost done now...
