LPC1769 Core + LPCPRESSO + 3 MF NG possible ?

Hi

I'm currently developing a midi controller so i can optimize the automation of my Neve VR / motorized faders.
So I avoid any mistakes and buy the wrong circuits I'm asking you for any advices that could guide me in my little experience.

In the mean time, I'd like to build a HUI 24 motorized faders controller with sensitives touch + a little LED screen for each fader. (to indicate the number/name of the track)

I was thinking to base the whole thing on an LPC1769 Core + LPCPRESSO + 3 MF NG

is it possible to connect 3 MF NG on a LPC1769 Core? if yes, what is the right way to do it?
and how do I get the LED screen to work properly  for each slice/track ?

Thank you very much for your help

lucasmedus,

according to my understanding MF_NG contains a dedicated PIC, can be used standalone or integrated to some more sophisticated HUI and is accessed by MIDI, so there is no limit for chaining MF_NG units other that implied by MIDI protocol itself (within a reasonable practical limit, of course).

Correct me if I'm wrong, hope this helps,

freddy

I´m finishing the build as the topic of this thread :-) (not trying to hijack the thread....)

I will use the same PSU for all modules thus no need to use the optocouplers.

Question:

Can I connect the modules this way: (Using only 1 cable for each of the lines below)
LPC1769 -> MF_NG 1-3
  • J11- MI1 -> MF_NG(1) - J11-MO1
  • J11- MO1 -> MF_NG(1) - J11-MI1
  • J11-MI2 -> MF_NG(2) - J11-MO1
  • J11-MO2 - > MF_NG(2) - J11-MI1
  • J5B-A6 -> MF_NG(3) - J11-MO1
  • J5B-A7 -> MF_NG(3) - J11-MI1
