Rio
Is it actually allowed and functional to connect an usb hardware controller directly as USB input of the SEQ via an usb-b-male to usb-b-male cable (so as not to need a computer)? Would that even work or even damage one or the other device? technically speaking, the communication is only possible via drivers, right? greetings, rio Edited December 12, 2020 by Rio
latigid on
Nonstandard sure, it should work or at least shouldn't damage anything. Electrically there is no difference between USB A and B connectors. USB AB cables are much more common but it does look like you can find BB. Antichambre
Hi Rio, Hi Andy, If the "usb hardware controller" is an USB MIDI Device the SEQ must be set as USB Host. Of course the SEQ needs an external power cause the MIDI Device will not provide it thru USB, and the SEQ must provide power if the Device requires USB power. Have a good day. Rio
My seq is powered external, not by usb.

Antichambre
Pretty sure that LPC17 does not support USB Host Mode.
