MikeHunt79 Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 I'm building a MidiBox LC, and I only have one MIDI IN and one MIDI OUT on my PC. Now... I'm also using a MIDI keyboard in my set up. Now, how do I connect this lot together, since my MIDI keyboard has no MIDI THRU. I want to be able to use the keyboard and Midibox at the same time. Will a MidiMerger solve my problems? Or will I be able to use an LTC module instead? I'd rather avoid using my serial port on the PC if possible. Quote
moebius Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 I'm not sure, but I think that LC needs it's own dedicated midi port. So you can use LTC, to connect LC and use midi port for keyboard, or get another midi interface..Please, correct if I'm wrong...Bye, Moebius Quote
doc Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Midibox LC *needs* a dedicated port for each Box.greets DOC Quote
MikeHunt79 Posted August 2, 2004 Author Report Posted August 2, 2004 Thanks guys. I'm gonna try using the MAX232 chip on the LTC module, then connect my Midibox LC to the serial port on my PC as suggested my mobius. I can then keep my Midi port on my PC free for my keyboard. Quote
