Altitude
It's not,I still get the same 9.05 volts?Sounds like you stuffed the 7809 instead of the 7812. Measure the DC voltage on the input leg of you regulator vs the output (they are the outside legs)
analofbrotha
I'm faily sure I did not use the 8580 parts,I just got another 12v ac,I will test, test regulator, outer legs I will check after rectifier also.. I will have more info to figure this out in next post..back to the lab! 8)
analofbrotha
hold on a minute, are you reading the 9.05 volts after the regulator, or directly after the rectifier? is it a 7809? if so, that could be your problem. the optimised psu only works that way because it uses the 5v ground from the c64psu for the 9VDC as well, which gives a total of 14VDC.Yes it is the 7809a should I replace with the7812a,,? 7809a is only for c64psu?incase thats not the problem.before rectifier 16v after Vr it's 9.05I'm going to repalce the VR's now and retest..I think Mr modnaR you have figured problem! :D Keep ya updatedI was wondering why there were 2 voltage regulators? Thanks again everyone for your help. doc
Hi,starting upload of bootloader_v1_2pic8f452.hexhex file contains code in mios range.forcing reboot! If you already have the bootloader on the PIC you must not load the file bootloader_v1_2pic8f452.hex !If you want to load MIOS on a preburned PIC you'll have to load mios_v1_9c_pic18f452.hex(Read the README in the folder mios_update_v1_9c).And please don't forget: You have to start the upload of MIOS within the first two seconds after power on the CORE! So .... be quick!greetsDOC
analofbrotha
Oh thanks,,Nice the meet you! When exstracting(unzipping) mios pack,It didn't work properlyLeft on only a few seconds..Loading right one now..as desribed abovetheres a list of system resetsand a active sensing? Is it suposed to be doing this,I have another pic here..How long should mios take with a very shitty computer?thanks for your help! doc
Hi again,I think, you write faster than I think ... Let me try to sort it:When exstracting(unzipping) mios pack,It didn't work properlyWhat do you mean? Do you mean you are unable to extract the mios .zip file after download? ???You'll need the described .hex files. Otherweise what will you send to the pic? ???theres a list of system resetsand a active sensing? Please be a little exacter!Where are system resets (your PC, MIOS studio, Core or what) ??AlsoWhere do read active sensing: In the Midi Monitor of MIOS studio, on the lcd or where? How long should mios take with a very shitty computer? If it's a shitty but not faulty computer it should take less than a minute (normally a few seconds). BTW the upload speed didn't depend very much on the computer speed. (midi is midi is midi ... ::) )Another hint before you try to Upload: Have you already read the Midi Troubleshooting at http://www.ucapps.de/howto_debug_midi.html ?You should take the time to test your equipement with this guide. After finishing all the suggested steps you should have a verified midi connection between the core and your computer. Finally:I think, I speek for the community when I tell you: Please be so kind and ask questions with a little more describing words around your problem. Nobody can give an exact advise if you just smash word fragments in your posts. ;DgreetsDOC
