Vinyljunkie Posted December 11, 2006 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Ich hab überlegt ob ich mir einen Sequenzer baue,also nur ein Controller mit dem ich die Software Synthies auf einen pattern legen kann.Grob gesagt nen 303 oä. nur ohne Synth, ich will halt zb. bei einem stand alone VST einen beat mit hilfe des controllers basteln.u know???also core is klar 8)denk mal den din... was noch.ich will es halt auch so haben das die dann halt so blinken die einzelnen takte im beat. hoffe das kommt verständlich rüber Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Midi-In hast wäre ein Midiinterface oder noch ein LTC von Vorteil ;)1 encoder brauch 2 anschlüsse an din. also wenn du 16 steps (=16 encoder hast) brauchst du schon 2 dins wegen den tastern. dj3nk Posted December 12, 2006 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 Die box is bei mir zuhause und läuft jetzt. Der pic war kaputt und einige Lötfehler mussten korrigiert werden. Dazu waren ein paar Kurze in den Kabel an den Potis. 1 poti is kaputt, der geht nur bis 3/4tel. Ein anderer geht gar nich. Ansonsten gehts. MIDIbox SEQ allows to modify step values with rotary encoders (endless knobs) or pots.Since pot control sounds like "vintage", "old style" and "analog sequencer", and possibly could imply that pots are the best solution for perfect sequences, I want to warn you that this is just a popular fallacy and nothing else! In fact pots are only useful for sequencers which are controlling the analog gear directly, but for a MIDI sequencer you defenitely want to have features like "total recall" and "jumpless switching" between tracks, layers and patterns.Therefore the most prefered option for MIDIbox SEQ should be rotary encoders!There are two reasons why MIDIbox SEQ supports pots: 1) pots were used by the first PIC16F based implementation (MIDIbox SEQ V1) - users who already built this sequencer are able to upgrade to V2 by exchanging the PIC and the crystal in order to benefit from all the new features. 2) users who built the MIDIbox64 hardware are able to upload the MIDIbox SEQ firmware in order to have a lot of additional fun :-)greetz Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
