  1. Hmmm. Still no good. I found a usb device called "USB Composite Device" that appeared when plugging in the midibox. I removed it. Then replugged. Then finds new hardware "seq v4". your new hardware is ready..... but still no go. tried again by removing "USB audio device". finds new hardware, reinstalls drivers. but no usb connection in mois. I'm stummped. Again, i can see midi input via the mios midi monitor with start stop. also seeing input on the mios terminal. Just seems no midi output via USB. This is my on and only issue. Everything else works! previosly with .086 when i would plug in the USB the seq would hang at "searching for sd card". Then when the mios connection was established it would continue into pattern edt mode.
  2. I was connecting through usb to MIOS from stm32f core and 4.086 with no issues. Then i uploaded 4.087 and MIOS cannot find the core now. I can see midi input on the midi monitor when i start and stop a sequence. What happened? Midi connection to mios is working fine. I'm running WIN XP. MIOS 2.4.6 Any ideas? On the positive note: .087 is running and i've successfully configured the 8 analog gates from my dout! :) :) And i know the drum trigger and clock functions will work as well!

  4. Alright analog outs are working! output 8 wouldn't scale right :( all 7 other outputs are in tune and scale well. So i turned 8 into a bipolar output and will use it for lfos and stuff like that. no gates yet. Now i need a dout4x for the new gate srio config stuff. waiting for that in the mail. i plan to have 8 trigger outs and 8 clock outs on my seqv4 case. can i just hook up a resistor and an led on the gate outs so i can see them light up when triggered? i guess there is only one way to find out... the idea is to get the 8cv 8gate working plus 1 drum trigger and 1 clock output. then i can duplicate the other outs when im ready to build the case. The test panel for analog outs. Made from a PC case cover panel.

  6. Ok so i have now populated the control panel. The seq is alive with one midi io module. It works it works! I've left out the leds till a panel is in hand. I need to stuff the other midi io, and i need to build the aout ng. I have decided to put the analog outs on the sequeqncer case. So this means i dont believe that i need to have the line driver module. correct? Patch cables from the aout module outputs should be able to be fairly long since they are after the TL074. Correct? I realize i will need a +/-12v supply in the seq case. Also i would like the addition of extra clock and gate outputs as shown in the line driver configuration. Can i simply add a dout module to the srio chain for this? I'm not quite clear on how to connect the aout and another dout for more clocks and gates. Also what software changes will be required?

  8. Now this is progress. Display A is working and the core knows that i don't yet have an SD card. SEQV4 software seems to be loaded. Great!

  10. From what i can tell the connectors will accept 26 or 28 awg wire. I'm using this stuff which i love. It splits nicely without ever tearing adjacent shielding. It is 28 awg. http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Amphenol-Spectra-Strip/135-2801-010/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsJiFh04Lj2rgwRyRvNYl5ZZ4cnAg0Vnhc%3d Also in my opinion there are two correct ways and two wrong ways to orient the wire. The wire may enter from either side of the connector without the pins getting mixed up. This way you can make the wire exit the connector in whichever direction suits the application. I love the way you can see the light coming through the clear plastic between the conductors.
  11. Look what i got in the mail today. Yay! Thanks Tim! Its a christmas miracle.

  15. Thanks T.K. This is awesome. I will most likely be adding this to my seqv4 when i get it up and running. Sorry if this is a dumb annoying question but.... Why not just make it a shared project on oshpark.com? Looking at the .brd in Kicad now....nice layout! So i had to fill the ground plane when i opened it in kicad but otherwise it seems to be in tact.
  16. just ordered a seq4 pcb from the new online shop! Thanks! Smash! So fucking excited!
