Hi Rogic, indeed a new version 1.01 for mb64 (mbhp) is released. It is downloadable at http://ucapps.de/midibox/midibox64_v101.zip. The list of changes will follow soon... Thorsten is still considering namechanges for the new features to make the changelog rhyme... ;) ;D Regards, Serge

Hi Etko, i do not have Reason 2.0 but I think it will work perfectly with a midibox if you configure both correctly. If you are planning to build a midibox but are not sure yet what you need, you could try to use vmidibox64 (see serge.ucapps.de) at first to configure and test the connection between your pots and buttons, and the Reason functionality. Vmidibox64 is a program that partially emulates the functionality of a hardware midibox by software. If you have defined the knob settings in this program you could later dump them into you hardware midibox. You probably need the MidiYoke driver to be able to link vmidibox to Reason without a midi loop cable. Good luck, Serge

Tofu, the virtual desk of vmb64 does not yet simulate the differences between normal/snap/relative pot modes. It is currently only supported for editing the sysex but has no effect on the virtual desk. ... in the current version... I will add it on my to-do list ;) !!! Regards and a happy 2003 !! Serge

You can download the new version from the website http://serge.ucapps.de It has a great sample virtual box skin donated by Fabrizio (fbatino@inwind.it) !!! Look at the code in FabSkin64.vmb64 to see how this is done. There are a few new settings in vmb64 1.00e : They can be used the following way : - add them in vmb64presets.ini : this way they are used when you start the program as usual - add them to the .vmb file you are creating : change the windows file association to the extension used (.vmb64) or drop the file on vmidibox64.exe sample settings : [APPLICATIONPRESETS] MIDIINPORT=8 MIDIOUTPORT=9 SYSEXSENDSPEED=200 [CUSTOMDESK] FILENAME=self AUTOSHOW=1 EDITORHIDE=1 Thanks Fabrizio, Have fun !! Hi, finally a release version of vmidibox64 is out : version 1.00a It has the following changes : - sysex ID support, - disable navigation keys feature, - 64 buttons - bank name support - sequencer settings are now removed This version is supposed to be compatible with Thorsten's new mb64 v. 1.0 firmware. For the users of previous mb64 firmware versions, I will keep the old vmidibox as vmidibox64_0xx.zip on the server (http://serge.ucapps.de) for a while. Have fun ! Serge
