Hier noch 4 weitere Gedankenanregungen (aus der Zeit, da ich mal eine MB64 zusammengebaut habe): * Noch mal alle Brücken und Masseverbindungen auf den betreffenden AIN-Modulen überprüfen * Versuche die Kabellänge zu den Potis möglichst kurz zu halten (so länger das Kabel, um so leichter kommen Störungen auf) * Versuche es mal testhalber mit einem dickeren Massekabel (Masse Rückleiter) * Teste mal Kondensatoren (10uF und 100n) zwischen Masse und +5V einzusetzen - nahe bei den "Problem-Potis"

Hello Yogi The MBAY supports just one Bankstick (127 Patches) and there is one internal Patch. Sorry, no Mod playback. Hi Joshua! Welcome tho the MIDIbox Forum (1 posts)! :-) I would not advise You to use analog inputs (pots) instead of encoders - think of the patch workflow/handling (the JuCtrl is able to backup, load and send all Juno Alpha patches - from the Bankstick to the CS - from CS to the Juno Alpha - the Juno Alpha sends immediately the patch data to the CS via MIDI-Sysex, if You switch to another patch). Pots are not really made for this kind of dataflow/handling.

Johnmx found a solution. Some Chips need a RESET after power on. Addendum 2: Hi Johnmx, That's magic. Your right. Some AY/YM Chips need a low-trigger @ the reset pin. Suddenly NOISE is working @ AY38912A/P from Microchip. There will be an MBAY 2 update. Thanks johnmx!

Addendum: After Start up the default Volume of Tone ABC is the maximum (=15). I can not confirm the described behavior with my MBAY.

Hi johnmx, I ask myself: why do the other AY Chip functions (Tone ABC, Envelope, etc.) work? Somehow, this doesn't look like a bus timing problem to me (just a guess). How about a AY Chip exchange? Hi johnmx! The Firmware Link is fixed now. The F1-F8 LED will lit up when a function is available. For instance: @ Envelope Menu: all function-buttons (F1-F8) are available, so all LED's light up. @ Volume Menu: just six LED's lit up. Now the LPCXpresso LED2 is blinking 3 times (the last state = on).

Solved the Problem. Solution: VMware Player (4.0.4), Suse Linux 12.1 (32bit, with KDE) and LPCXpresso v4.2.3 It worked on the same (!) Host Computer (XP SP3 32bit). :)

Yes, will try it on another Computer. If it fails again, I will send the LPCXpresso board to someone who was already successful. So I can exclude HW problems. I will post the results here.
