  1. They work ok, that's not the issue. When I turn on MB64, all of them work, but send sometimes more NoteOn messages. After a while (when I intentionally press more of them, just to test), some of them fail to work at all :( No pattern - ones which fail are different every time... When I restart mb64, every button work, but still sending more messages... :-/
  2. I replaced all resistors to 1K and still the same problem. I found a schematics upon I wired resistors (from some old thread):[br] [br] and I connected all 7 of required buttons in following way:[br] [br] (that was old sketch, all pull-up resistors are now 1K)... What seems to be the problem here? ???

  4. All of them? Because I've read on the board that pots with same values have to be connected to one 4051... ???

  6. Excellent panel design LO :D I especially like silver buttons... great! And Mb SID is also good-looking!

  8. Hello, I needed more buttons than pots for Traktor mb64. I Found a schematics in other thread - can't find it now - simple wiring of buttons to AIN module with a resistor of 10K. Since I have different pot values, I connected same resistors as pots in a group of 8 to AIN module. There are 7 of them: 2 with 50kOhm and 5 with 10kOhm. All of them are connected correctly. I tested them and they seem to work ok. But they are not 'precise' as normal buttons (connected to DIN), sometimes they act as I pressed them twice ??? But that's not the main problem - this is: When I made tests, I clicked on several buttons fast, maybe sometimes 2-3 of them together. After such 'impact', some of buttons stop working at all. There is no pattern - everytime different buttons do not respond anymore. Only help in that case is reset of MB, and everything works fine. I am wandering if this is a problem of DIN->AIN modification, or I've done something wrong? ???

  10. @datagroove: I am almost done, having some probles with jittering and I have to finish top surface enclosure. But It made already a public premiere :) we had a party around may 1st
  11. Hi to Captain Hastings: thanks, I'll check it out... Did you own such amplifier or similar? Because I got this other URL from a guy who made this especially for DJing purposes, and he claims that it rocks! to gillesdeshays: I made a midibox 64 based on MBHP with external power source from old CD player
  12. Hi guys, I am finishing MB 64 especially for Traktor, so it will be a DJ console... since I need monitoring with headphones in a loud environment, I am considering making this amplifier: http://headwize2.powerpill.org/projects/showproj.php?file=cmoy2_prj.htm and incorporate it into Midibox. Since I know shit about electronics, the question is: Can I connect this to power supply of AIN module? Or elsewhere? thanks for replies
  13. on Core module, inputs for second AIN should be clamped to the ground if not used. I have only 1 AIN (MB64) and other inputs are clamped to the ground.

enjoy man & have a good time! you're legend TK ;)
  15. sorry... I saw it now - vmidibox has an option for each button - everything is clear now :)
  16. [qoute] you can just activate the toggle function of the MB64 for each button seperately, in this mode the LED will indicate the status. In this case the toggle function of Traktor should be deactivated!
  17. I've got some confusion about DOUT as well: Is it possible to make LEDs light up in some kind of toggle-mode? First push of button -> LED lights up, second push -> LED turns off I need mb64 for Traktor, and it will be great if LEDs can behave like switches in the software (this is done by setting 'toggle' option for each button in Traktor). And what can be done with meta events? I feel like I am having a great hardware but dunno how to use it to get the maximum :-/
  18. I suggest you definately go for MB Hardware platform (MB64 or MIOS). MB16 is 'old' hardware...
  19. you mean to amplify voltage before 7805?
  20. Thanks TK for the reply; This snapshot 'bug' is not so important for me - two pots not sending their state is not a problem at all, I just thought it may have something to do with jittering... but that's a total electronics newbie assumption. About voltage: you suggest that I change voltage after 7805? I'll go to my friend (an expert - not dummy like me! :)) and try this idea... thanks a lot
  21. Hi, my MB64 differs from others - PS is on another board and 5V is delivered to the CORE from circuit with 7805, etc. Capacitor is 25v 3300uF, and the voltage to the CORE varies from 5.02-5.03V. Is this ok? Another thing: I selected 'snapshot at power on' in vmidibox; When I monitor in midiox messages sent by MB on startup, I receive this: TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT 13621 GMe -- 176 0 89 1 --- CC: Bank MSB 13621 GMe -- 176 1 98 1 --- CC: Modulation 13621 GMe -- 176 3 92 1 --- Control Change 13621 GMe -- 176 4 91 1 --- CC: Foot Controller 13621 GMe -- 176 5 55 1 --- CC: Portamento Time 13621 GMe -- 176 6 26 1 --- CC: Data Entry MSB 13621 GMe -- 176 7 43 1 --- CC: Volume 13621 GMe -- 176 9 47 1 --- Control Change 13621 GMe -- 176 10 105 1 --- CC: PAN 13631 GMe -- 176 11 83 1 --- CC: Expression 13631 GMe -- 176 12 71 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 13 28 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 14 11 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 15 0 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 16 86 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 17 0 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 18 0 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 19 0 1 --- Control Change 13631 GMe -- 176 20 0 1 --- Control Change 13641 GMe -- 176 21 0 1 --- CC: 21 (E-MU) 13641 GMe -- 176 22 0 1 --- CC: 22 (E-MU) 13641 GMe -- 176 23 0 1 --- CC: 23 (E-MU) 13641 GMe -- 176 24 0 1 --- CC: 24 (E-MU) 13641 GMe -- 176 25 0 1 --- Control Change 13641 GMe -- 176 26 0 1 --- Control Change 13641 GMe -- 176 27 0 1 --- Control Change 13641 GMe -- 176 28 0 1 --- Control Change 13641 GMe -- 176 29 0 1 --- Control Change 13651 GMe -- 176 30 0 1 --- Control Change 13651 GMe -- 176 31 0 1 --- Control Change Why I don't get states of pots #2 & #8 ????
  22. Join the club man!!!!! Couldn't agree more! :)
  23. Lemonhorse, this MB 64 #3 rocks :)
  24. This is all great guys, but you haven't told me what to do about jittering :-/ Should I shorten cables? Try to move them as far as I can from Power Supply? Any hint?
