  1. Yeah, another one: Korg microKONTROL midi controller
  2. coolness... Check this one out too: Audiopad
  3. I have a dream about a MidiBox Guitar FX unit... A Big Muff, Fuzz Face, Octavia, Overdrive, etc. in a rack-mount. Using digital potentiometers, audio switchers or DPDT relais, MIOS for creating patches, pedal for patch select prev/next... controlling my v-amp as part of a patch via MIDI as well... yum! ;D
  4. THAT is going to be a BIG midibox...
  5. Somebody already stepped forward to create a webpage?
  6. What formats for the samples? I'm already busy doing some loops ;D My SID isn't finished yet, so it'll be other noises from me... Maybe WAV <-> FLAC (free lossless audio codec) is a good idea? (http://flac.sourceforge.net/) A 4-bar loop (130bpm) becomes something ranging between 300-900Kb.
  7. I like the tracks but they need something extra that sets it apart from anything else, I WANT TO HEAR THE SID VERSION! ;D If you'd develop your sound into some exiting hybrid Ministry meets Depeche Mode meets Aphex Twin meets Crass meets Alec Empire meets Björk meets F242 meets Cop Shoot Cop meets Unkle... or something like that... i'd be buying yer cd's man! ;D keep it up!
  8. This comes from RS-Components: ALPS STEC16B (order nr 265-1723) cheers!
  9. exciting times... ;D gonna be soldering my dual sid board today! yippey! ;)
  10. Can't reach it mate... connection refused all the time.
  11. Ik denk dat het nummer voor de bankchips 24LC256-I/P is...
  12. From the MIOS introduction page: [tt] One core module, stuffed with a PIC18F452, can handle with: up to 128 digital inputs up to 128 digital outputs up to 64 analog inputs character and graphical dotmatrix LCDs BankSticks (IIC EEPROMs) one MIDI In, one MIDI Out, optionally as to-COM interface [/tt] Which means max. 64 encoders (2 digital inputs per encoder) are possible with a MIOS application (18F core). Look under MIOS downloads, there is a sample application for this. Hope this helps!
  13. Hi Thorsten, Can any SPI-compatible digital pot be used with the current MIOS/SID version as you explained? These ones also use the SPI interface: http://www.analog.com/Analog_Root/productPage/productHome/0,2121,AD5206,00.html (Although not logaritmic, you could set the value logaritmically.)
  14. Hmm... i think SmashTV mentioned something about digital potentiometers recently... ::) That would be ideal...
  15. Hi Smash, Zwan doesn't have any Pumpkin songs in their setlist, they have a pretty extensive song catalogue of themselves already (94 to be exact :o ), so don't let that stop you from seeing them if you get the chance! Concert was awesome! ;D
  16. One more hour and i'm off to see Zwan (the new band of Billy Corgan) yieha! :D Haven't been that excited since Thorsten his last post (SID control surface, step B). ;D Yay! Happy day!
  17. Hi! I have a sblive as well... (with kx ASIO drivers: http://kxproject.spb.ru/index.php?skip=1) I hear good stuff about Terratec (www.terratec.com) and M-Audio (www.m-audio.com). cheers!
  18. Yes, you have to clamp every unused analog input (on the multiplexers of the AIN module or on the core J5) to the ground or the core will pick up random values. cheers!
  19. Okay, i'll confess as well... *drumfill* - Windows XP Home - *crash cymbals* & *manic laughter in the audience* Well it's actually quite solid for audio and smoother than W2K, but i did turn off the Fisherprice features... ;)
  20. The Frontpanel designer program from http://www.schaeffer-apparatebau.de is free, easy to work with and has a fine tiled printing function. You can't print measurements, but you can print reference points. It may be worth checking out to see if it suits yer purposes lad! ;) cheers!
