  1. Is that a threat? No, I'd prefer that you sell them for what you paid for them, and accept the loss of shipping costs as part of your decision not to build the synth. That's what I said before: So why get all snippy about it? Do you expect to be able to do whatever you want and noone else should care? I just don't understand it... I mean you're being tight fisted over the shipping costs but don't plan on selling the PCB like you could... And you were quick to adjust the pricing after the first posts, like you wanted to do the right thing, but this particular example has been an exception.... Seems contradictory... I don't get it. Man that's such a waste :( Surely there are lots of people who would really like to have that board, and why lose more than you have to?
  2. I know, it seems silly to remove a post and then replace it with something which seems equally superfluous... But in typical stryd_one form, I will answer a question with a question: What is worse, a post saying there was a crosspost that's gone now, or no such warning, and people crossposting all the time? or.... What is worse, a crosspost deleted without notification and consequently re-posted, or at least being polite enough to tell someone where their post went? Yeh sure, I can PM them, but that often makes people feel threatened. There's method in my madness :) Why would anyone wonder what it was? It's a crosspost, it was the same as the one above. Now someone sell this man a PSU already! :) Edit:I know you were joking about, but it was a valid question!
  3. It's totally useful and appreciated... But it makes sense to discuss such things for the optimal result, right? Bugfight and I spend hours upon hours discussing our methods, finding flaws and improvements in each others work.... we don't get offended by each other.... No need to be all passive-defensive :)
  4. Like I said, a song is useless, we just need one single held note, of one patch that does this. Are you not familiar with zip files? I wouldn't trust his encoder not to mess with it... there are already enough unknown variables, like cabling, drivers, etc, which we can't check.... It's possible to use a wav file, so why not :)
  5. So now you're not selling it at all? Or you already sold it? Looks like you're still selling the SIDs at a profit?
  6. Heh this one again... I always say the same about a DIY sampler... better off getting an old sampler off ebay, it's cheaper and WAY more powerful than anything we could build. Are you sure you want to DIY it?
  7. 25MB? for a few seconds? I don't think so.... Uhm... See if you can figure it out ;) heheheh
  8. FYI, I deleted your crosspost. Please don't do that, we heard you the first time :)
  9. Sorry I didn't mean to english-hijack :-X I always thought that they were very nice.... but the problem is the nx16 size, so compatibility with major existing apps like seq, FM, sid is not always optimal, so there's not so much interest so far :( If you'd like me to move the topic there and try again, just say the word.
  10. faton, I am most displeased. I've just noticed that I had misread the prices on your post. I thought it was $USD, not euro $. How do you find it reasonable to charge more than Wilba sold it for? I would strongly encourage you to realign your prices with the price you paid - and shipping is your loss for changing your mind, don't add that on. >:( Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post. Yeh...that.
  11. What's German for "Yummy"? I'll answer in English, sorry :( Only 16 chars wide, but it has thin edges, so two units could sit touching each other, to emulate a wider screen (with a small gap). If the driver is HD44780 compatible (I didn't think it was, it has extra features like icons) then you won't need another driver, otherwise I would help you make a new driver. Have you seen them in real life, or just the pics on the website?
  12. Ahh going the commercial route, that explains it. Sorry you ran outta time man. Where'd you get that idea?
  13. Poll removed :) welcome! Sharp eye you got there, I never noticed that... It doesn't appear to be connected and I don't think I've heard talk of SPDIF, so....maybe? Probably not? TK? :)
  14. I don't remember saying that. I just said that eDrum would be more appropriate. stryd_one hates being misquoted. But yes, I think that edrum would probably be faster - that's just a guess though, but it is designed for that single purpose. I'm sure that, perhaps with with sufficient modification, midibox could be just as good. But, yaknow....why? Sure it'd be cool ....
  15. Rad. I was poring over those chips last night too, must have been something in the air :)
  16. I take it you changed your mind about building it? What happened?
  17. I think he always had all that stuff :) (just so noone else has to go through 4 pages of listings to discover it)
  18. Hi Pablo, welcome aboard! eDrum isn't really a midibox project, but it does use the MIOS bootloader, which just enables application upload via midi. Otherwise, they have their differences. The two-at a time thing you are referring to, I believe is sequential reads on the same input. It's designed to 'focus' on the knob which is moving, to give smooth input. I have a bunch of triggers (all DIY of course) with an octapad II and I've often thought that I'd like to have the control of my own trigger brain, and of course midibox crossed my mind...but I can never shake the fact that a dedicated firmware would probably be more appropriate. In your case, I'd probably build an eDrum and an MB64e.
  19. Ahhh yes the hard drive drumkit :D Thanks for the lowdown sasha! OT, just out of curiosity: So which are the motors that are PWM driven? I'm sure RC servos use it?
  20. What? how big is this file? You should only need to record a second or two. I mean, technically you only need one cycle of the waveform although it would be very inconvenient.. No I haven't listened to the song, I know that one, I just wanna hear this 'bug' :)
  21. You don't have to filter data to use the midibox router. It does just what you've described, but if you want to reinvent the wheel....All the info about midi is online. Try google, and midi.org.
  22. I've posted a couple times about the dangers or blue and UV LEDs, and the benefits of red or green, and why including some military references... It's definitely the way to go.
