  1. MIOS samples the AINs every 100ns, so 10khz. I guess that keeping Nyquist in mind, that means the highest frequency you could track would be 5khz.
  2. Very tidy work :)
  3. I agree :)
  4. LOL Oh, for me it was more like "Please let it start back up, please tell me I didn't just fry this thing". I was testing some code at the time, maybe it was a paranoid frame of mind ;) Yep, all that power needs POWER! ;D
  5. Sweet :D Did you have to modify the sensorizer app much or is this exactly like AC's? I assume maybe you just changed some defines or something...
  6. Very nice work!! :) Great, everythings great... Awesome... Look at the doco.. look at the features... look at the code... lovely man.
  7. Just for what it's worth guys, you can probably also use the MAX5250 which needs no modifications but will output in 10bit resolution, not 12. Note that if you are feeding it 7bit values (0-127) then that means you won't see any difference. Edit - 5250 is less accurate...
  8. Hi squeal, IIRC = If I Remember Correctly ;) You do need 0-5V, but as AC mentioned there may be issues with current.... I have no idea ! The method which tilted mentioned is often referred to as a 'vactrol'. Though you might like that as a search term so you can find schematics.
  9. May justice be poetic.
  10. Heh, first thing I thought was BOR... but I couldn't think of a reason that only arp mode would do that, so I stayed quiet... ::) Running off my variable PSU I have found 7.9V to be the magic number where no heatsink was required but voltage would not drop too low and BOR. You might need to go a bit higher depending on your peripherals. *BOR = Brown-Out Reset - When the power goes too low (a brownout) the PIC will reset itself. You'll probably know it if you see it, because it is very random, very sudden, and guaranteed to give you a bad sinking feeling in your gut when it happens the first time ;)
  11. Bug or unsupported feature? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294714 I need IE6 for work, and this is not a matter of fixing my problem, it's a matter of ensuring that all visitors to the wiki will have the same experience. I think transparent gifs should be fine, no? No, I keep telling you guys over and over it looks great! Please don't hate me and ignore my compliments just because I have found some bugs too :'( You've fixed that in all three instances for me :) You didn't mention the alignment of the icons with the text though... You mentioned a workaround, and although I am comfortable with that, a lot of newbies say that the wiki is too hard to deal with as it was before, so I don't think that we should introduce any new complexities and push people further away. Anything that requires a workaround should be fixed or removed. Yep, GIFs... But you made that sound like a bad thing?
  12. D'oh! I'll deal with the technical issues first and come back to the ergonomics and aesthetics later... Three attachments. One shot is FF, then IE, then IETab in FF. wikiFF.JPG wikiIE.JPG wikiIETab.JPG
  13. I'm sure he's in a place with free SIDs and PCB protos. http://www.elektron.se/
  14. Mike :) So you didn't fall off the edge of the earth :) Beware... the listing says they are untested from an old repair shop, and they don't seem to be from the same batch, so these could be broken SIDs he pulled and replaced...
  15. Censorship PS Tilt, That's clearly not a real storm trooper; he's white, and storm troopers are Maori!
  16. You know, seeing as the "old" wiki has been changed anyway, I think that having an offline copy to work on, is a redundant measure. I would encourage that given the current state of things, it would be best to put any changes on the live server as soon as possible. The offline copy that you have, is 100010000*nicer than what's there now, and it will also make it easy to mark up any commentary to the changes... For example if I don't like a font I can just edit the page and type "I don't like this font, something like this is easier to read: <img>" Rather than spending 5 years in the chat room trying to explain a picture in less than 1000 words ;) That is of course assuming that the browser compatibility issues are working out OK (and tested on a PC that's not your machine, which was doing very strange things!)... That is a major issue and I know it's not possible to avoid, and not easy to work around, but I think that all browsers need to be able to access the wiki and see the same look (not 100% but you know what I mean). At the least, as discussed in the chatroom, we should see if Twinny is able to provide stats on which browser reads the pages most, and get the optimal setup for that browser... But I think that would probably suck for everyone else.
  17. I say we sue eBay. c0nsumer did your friend bid? Or should I get on it?
  18. Create a bogus account. Problem solved.
  19. TK421 Why are you not at your station?
  20. TK421 Do you copy?
  21. Hehehe the last time I did any windoze programming was ...well... right before I discovered MIDIbox ;D I am quite familiar with the MMAPI (it's burned into my brain) so I may be able to help though....
  22. yeh thanks for your vigilance though.
  23. -1 now even the good "I" is gone, and the colours are all funky.. you killed the "start" page, and the normal one..doh! Edit I am not referring to the screenshots but the actual site. Some screenshots look nice and some don't...
  24. There are two ways for MIOS to determine how it should drive your LCD... It can be hardcoded into the application, or the application can use a special function which automatically gets your LCD type based on the PIC ID. http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp/idgen.html ;)
