The first one.

And I'm telling you: Listen to Roger. I am sure I speak for us all here when I say that we do not want the title of "first DIY electronics community to kill a man", and I'm pretty sure you'll feel the same ;)
-
Look for MBUC on the wiki dudes...
-
Because he is using the switching jacks for the feedback loop.
-
There are a few implementations.. if you search for the term 'scan matrix' you'll find all the juice :)
-
If you want to send 3 bytes you might be better off using sysex, it'll end up being 5 bytes not 6... Not a big difference though. I'm pretty sure FL supports 7bit controllers too, could save you a lot of effort! :)

Thanks for keeping an eye out cimo. Normally, crossposting is a big no-no. And I would set the ninja death squad on the poster. Of course, if you speak two languages, you double your chance of finding an answer; and the result SHOULD always be an answer in two languages. Multilingual answers are good for everyone, which is why I didn't merge the threads earlier. I say should, because it does not always work out that way. Sometimes what happens is that the poster causes twice as many people to make the effort to answer which drains resources from others that need help ... Sometimes the answer only appears in one thread, which does not help anyone in the future ... that is not the midibox way To make sure it goes well for all concerned, IMO, the crossposter should take care to include a link to each of his crossposts in the first post (to avoid doubling others' work), and to summarise the content of the thread with the answer, in the other thread. That way a person who finds one thread, finds both threads, and both answers. While I am being demanding, I will mention CoLT and BBCodeXtra addons for FireFox, which will help you with copying and pasting links and quotes on the forum here. If you use those, then you are about 4 mouse clicks away from turning a messy multi-lingual cross-post into a pleasant thing for all concerned :)

UK/Europe Bulk order of "Waldorf" knobs for the MB-6582 (CLOSED)
stryd_one replied to Goblinz's topic in Bulk Orders
They cost $$(If you have to ask you can't afford it) Per unit. ;D -
My advice is kinda opposite to W, but I do think he is right..... I saw his with the LEDs on, and I thought it was pretty damn cool. I also think they'd get pretty boring pretty fast, and if they're too bright they'll be a royal pain in the ***. If you plan on doing the lit knobs, I highly recommend putting some kind of pot on there to be able to fade them right out, or close to it.

I can be pretttttty stupid man. ;D W's right.... If you got that far and that's all that went wrong you did great. Oh yeh, 4 posts. You did ace.
-
I would say nothing of the sort! ;D Dude, SID. We can strap sliders and stuff onto darn near anything... Worst case is you have an external controller (built into the same box so what's the difference). Why don't you build it analog (I know you got that part nailed) and do a MBCV mod for it?

mmmmm, eightfinity.
-
Eh? I use feedback regularly! Has anyone considered an insert jack for sidechaining FX into the feedback?
-
Uhm ... crimp the IDC connectors to either end of the cable and one in the middle... L I-----------------------I-----------------------I L C D-----------------------D-----------------------D C D C--------------------X--C-----------------------C D Cut the 2nd enable line at 'X' and peel it off and connect to the core LCD's go in either end so they're not connected serially to the core I think tha's what ris8 did?
-
WIKIMARKER I always wanted to do that.
-
Reminds me of play-hookey... Nice one mate, bookmarked thanks!
-
Hehehe Keep in mind those are standalone exampes, so you'll need to code it into MB64e yourself, assuming there's sufficient free space on the PIC...

Didn't get in the first MB-6582 PCB bulk order? Then post here
stryd_one replied to Slorrin's topic in Bulk Orders
And welcome aboard to you to asaf :) Heh for some reason this thread seems to draw people toward the forum... Hmmmm why could that be....hmmmmmmm ;) -
FYI I'll be making a board to automate feedback, most likely with digipots and switches (driven by CC's stored with the patch) I should add that, I doubt it will fit inside the PT-10, and it will (in classical stryd style) probably take me forever to finish :(

U.S. BULK ORDER - MB-6582 Knobs from ALBS (the "Waldorf" knob)
stryd_one replied to bugfight's topic in Bulk Orders
Well what if someone wants to ask a question about it that hasn't been answered? Or if they want to say thanks to jimp? Etc etc. Remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid Admins.... Wait, I'm not an admin here.... Oh well that just proves it! Remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid Gurus (scary thing is, that was my real actual thought pattern as I typed!) -
U.S. BULK ORDER - MB-6582 Knobs from ALBS (the "Waldorf" knob)

Is there an arctic circle bulk buy? -
The only thing you might run into trouble with is that there's a good chance your embedded linux had a lot more ram and processing power, but that shouldn't stop you at all :) You sending pitchbend or RPNs or sysex? Given that the messages required to send 14b data are not so fast, I wouldn't worry about sampling rate... Even half-rate will be sampling far more frequently than you can send it. What's receiving the messages and what will it do with them? Why is 10b not enough? Reason I ask is that there may be a better solution, who knows :) Although SPI is certainly do-able, I think that if you are able to find an I2C ADC that will be far more easily implemented, as you noticed MIOS has I2C support built in. CAN would probably be overkill.
-
4685 is OK for EUSART, but those other PICs are unsupported so that's your guess ;) What's the story with the ADC? I'm curious :) Do you plan to use the hardware SPI or bitbang it?

SIDControl VST-plugin for MBSID V1 (not V2!) by S.M.
stryd_one replied to S.M.'s topic in MIDIbox SID
Yay :) The MBFM plug looks nice too! You'll need to enable java and cookies or it reloads endlessly... And visit the german site because the english site has some empty pages... Did you always have to register to download the plugin? :( There's no privacy policy.... So I can't get it :( Why isn't it just attached to this forum thread? -
U.S. BULK ORDER - MB-6582 Knobs from ALBS (the "Waldorf" knob)
stryd_one replied to bugfight's topic in Bulk Orders
Minimum is "how much you need to make it worth albs' time" and it counts for all orders.
