  1. Yes that's a good point but it's up to the professionals and the more knowledgeable to instigate change... Which is why I recommend OpenOffice and take a tram. If we don't do it, who will?
  2. midibox_uc Wiki Linkage :)
  3. Yeh he meant DOUT. I would like to suggest that Mr modnaR be appointed unofficial forum jester
  4. All correct :)
  5. Universal Synth Editor - MIDIbox GLCD ;) midibox_uc Wiki Linkage :)
  6. Yeh tell me about it. Check out a friends old back yard: The Kalgoorlie SuperPit, once the biggest open cut mine in the world, visible from space, blah blah blah. You wouldn't believe the health problems that go with a few years in a place like that. My favourite gripe is cars.... the fact that people will stand next to a 12 lane road full of cars and make laws that say I can't smoke a cigarette there because it's bad for their health, is just more evidence of how completely stupid people really are. Oh totally 90% of the blogs are 90% junk ::) Heck that goes for just about all the media ;D
  7. Sometimes, I have this voice in the back of my head, which cries out "WHY?!" when people don't use the inputs. Glad to see I'm not the only one ;)
  8. Maybe custom, but not from the shop... the SX64's are darker but it aint black either.
  9. That is a handy design :) Thanks Sasa! Are you going to leave it USB (I assume it's not PS/2 :( ), or interface it with MBHP?
  10. Courtesy of MatrixSynth, I was checking out this interesting DIY 32 osc additive synth and followed a link to NetSynth.org. Cool stuff definitely worth a look if you need a DIY curiosity fix ;) I found it interesting that the Cyclone FPGA was appearing yet again... I seem to remember TK talking about playing with those once upon a time, and I've seen them done elsewhere for SDIY stuff.... Anyway hope the links are interesting :)
  11. It's just that I've been watching a deathmatch for the last 6 months, between ax73 auctions, and the tubes of sids I already spent my 'analog synth fund' on ;) Down, gearlust, down! sidv2 is coming, everything's gonna be allll right..... ::) I hope it works too! Good luck :) I'm back on msn if you have no joy...
  12. Sweet. Hey is that an AX73 in the background? Nice. Count the pins backwards and you're set. SR 6 Pin4 is: DOUT_ENTRY CS_MENU_SELECTED_OSC_FLAGS, 1, 6, 3 ; OSC2 LED ... I think :) There's more info here
  13. Possible Test Subject #2 (Unless it has enough space in it for an 8xSID) Either way, USD$36 for a 61 note keybed in a nice plain case with wooden end cheeks.... scorrre. It was worth getting up at 5am ;)
  14. 'Before' shot ;) IM000503.JPG
  15. Heh, yeh I think the old rule of negotiation "never make the first offer" has been overused a little bit here gentlemen ;)
  16. three oscs per sid, each with it's own midi channel, four sids per mbsid maximum :)
  17. maybe time to read some more of the websites uriel ;) the OPL3 is MBFM, that's a different project.
  18. I think filmcomposer needs to clear this up... are you trying to send a note and then pitchbend it, or send notes at certain pitches?
  19. Unfortunately what you've described won't quite work.... The pitch of the note must be known before the note is played... Maybe something like this: You have an encoder with built in switch, and one button. encoder pushed in selects the octave when turned, encoder not pushed in selects note (a-g) when turned, button pushed in sends note on, button released sends note off....?
  20. "simple, light weight step sequencer" it's that and much more ;) Hope it's suitable for you mate. Hey I can't take all the credit, Wilba and AC have been really helpful with 4620 info. I have given heaps of advice off the board too, about all kinds of things... I'd be lost if not for them :) The guys from the SDCC project are really helpful (busy though!) ... and of course TK came up with the idea ;) It's a team effort. I think I'm the waterboy hahaha
  21. I'm not sure where it would fit, but that post would look good on the wiki ;) Good info...
  22. Wow that is *****n awesome. Great work man, and I absolutely love the solar power, three cheers, this is top notch. Now we just need solar powered PA speakers huh... Guess it's just a matter of more panels and more storage cells :D I'd love to see a FPE panel on the thing, it'd really do it justice :)
  23. Oh so it's not the 12 pulse part that you're wondering about, but the clock itself.... Do you want it to be master only, or also slave? If you want the slave capabilities you might want to borrow code from the SEQ, otherwise just a timer should suffice... And of course you'll have to add to the CS code too. How's your ASM skills man? It won't be really simple...
  24. I don't mean to be a stickler for details but just to avoid confusion I should suggest that you don't refer to this as the "application", but as the "Operating System". Everything else sounds right :)
