  1. There was something similar done to run gameboy sync... might be worth a search... Yeh that one :)
  2. They are tasty huh. Some dude was selling something very much like one of those on ebay a while ago and I'm still bummed that I missed the last auction :\ Never did find a retailer... don't suppose you know one?
  3. Now you're talking. I like those kind of ramblings ;)
  4. Nice :) Sometimes I swear you'd mine the copper for your own PCBs if you could!
  5. Next time maybe try Winpic800? So far I haven't any reports of it not working with the JDM. :D
  6. Just quickly, I wouldn't use the 500K pot, shoot much closer to 10K :)
  7. That'd be awesome man. I tried to find something like that after I saw the continuum controller, but didn't have any joy. Good luck dude, :)
  8. http://www.avrx.se/ Looking forward to that one....
  9. :) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'( yep, works!
  10. Hah I take it that means you don't recommend it? What happened if you don't mind my asking?
  11. Ahh why not just use switches mate?
  12. That's me FWIW
  13. Yeh it does look good man! You're seriously making me consider DIY'ing my panels again! heheheh For the record, did you use a drill press for all that or was it done by hand?
  14. Nice one Jack :) Similar colour scheme to mine, now I know it will look just as I imagined it :D Fantastic! I'm guessing that the LCD is actually a PLED, visible at that angle... Where'd the panel come from? Schaeffer/FPE?
  15. That's very true. The ability to substitute suspect componentry with known good replacements is an indispensable tool. This is just another reason why I'm always saying that DIY is rarely the cheaper option....
  16. Me too... I think these are lower res though, which would save twinny some cash on bandwidth (just a guess)
  17. Woot! nice one AC! My soundgin is on the way :) It's definitely powerful, but the speech just doesn't sound as nice as the speakjet for some strange reason... The synth stuff however.... :D
  18. Well that's about right... the 7805 needs a couple of extra volts, you should generally feed it around 7V :)
  19. Welcome aboard! Sure do. For what you described, nearly zero - provided you don't mind reading instructions and following them precisely :) Depends on what you need, but it's easy to do. (Good question) no it doesn't. Tutorial It pays to read lots around here ;) That will depend on your front panel design, but you want single pole, normally open/momentary on switches. Not so hard but IMO you're better off using MB64e if you want to use encoders instead of pots. Hope that helps!
  20. If you have to ask, you can't afford it ;)
  21. Cause the core just restarted itself after a timeout? Is it possible that the memory reads are causing a delay? You could try hardcoding the data into the functions to test it, that way no eeprom read happens, which is probably what is causing the delay.... How many bytes are you reading before the sysex is sent? You might want to use a page read instead, it's a much faster way of grabbing a lot of bytes.
  22. Yeh I shoulda put a smiley after that sorry! I was just joking about me getting a freebie ;) I'm a big fan of the K2* series but never could afford the one I want... probably cause they just keep improving it :)
  23. Funny that they never publish the results of timing tests ;)
  24. hehehe No worries twinny, they've got your name on them :)
