  1. Nothing wrong with them.... unless someone snipes DrBunsen and then we'll make sure they never leave the country heheheh
  2. Yeh and music would be better ;D Don't worry too much about those 'gaps' when you use PWM... Human persistence of vision will take care of much of that...
  3. I've got the reverse problem, I always wanted a 303 clone minus all the sequencing stuff so I could just use an MBSEQ and still get that nice sound :)
  4. Hey, instant dancing girlfriend music :)
  5. Youve got two case 1's there mate ;)
  6. LOL Thanks guys :) I'll go back to lurking around this thread in babelfish now :)
  7. LOL@Roger I'm pretty sure there was another poster who had done this, but unfortunately it's still vaporware to us at this stage... Have a search around, maybe you could team up :)
  8. OK after 8 pages of posts I have to ask ..... What are you crazy Germans up to here? ;) I hope there might be a very small explanation in english one day, for those of us not fortunate enough to sprechen Sie Deutsches. That last part is brought to you by babelfish ;D
  9. Yeh yours is *810 and his is *830 ...different ID's :)
  10. Hey man sorry for the late reply... I went looking to see if you'd replied yet and saw that I'd missed your post :-\ Looking forward to that schematic dude. I'll trade you a 2044 for it, it's the least I can do :) Check these out: http://oopic.com/soundgin/ http://www.speakjet.com/ . Very cool, nothing on my favourite synth (my k5000s, my beautiful baby), but still cool :D Hope the order all went well!

    SIDx6 ?

    What about MBSID-Multi Mode?
  12. No doubt, just scrolling through that post makes me wish I never logged on tonight ;)
  13. Oh look, it's the new forum game ;D One for my geeky homies: Radio Wack

    SIDx6 ?

Oh yeh, or just run a 4xMBSID and a 2xMBSID and split the midi from your guitar over two channels.
  15. stryd_one

    SIDx6 ?

You can do this by modifying the MBSID to drive the enable lines of the SIDs but it is a big job. Wait for V2 unless you're a supercoder in a big rush ;)
  16. That's: If they got these values, you can directly connect up to 32 of them (AFAIR) to one AINx4-module LEDs go directly to DOUT-modules AC must be overworked :) ....Or breathing solder fumes hehehe... But he is right IMO, go with option 1.
  17. LOL that's you and about 5 million others ;) Don't be fooled, it'll still be expensive and hard to build... Though it might be more expensive than discrete components and a little less soldering. There's no C code for the pic yet, this is all theory right now... Don't buy the chips unless you want to be a beta tester ;)
  18. MB64 supports DINx* modules, but not fir encoders. Check this out: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=questions_and_answers#what_s_the_difference_between_pots_sliders_motorfaders_and_encoders
  19. heya.... Just a few tips: Pots and sliders are analog, but the buttons are digital, but the mb64e supports both pot/sliders and encoders simultaneously. Hope that helps :)
  20. Do we still have to buy 25 of them? I'd be interested if I only had to get a few of each....
  21. There is something about those isn't there? I think alps make something similar too... It's hard to beat those PS pad joysticks though!
  22. Beaten by AC again! hehehe Yeh the background is a dark red and the chars are red, so anything that masks the background will also mask the characters. Sounds just like the brightness control right? Because it is.... Think of this: if Crystalfontz could supply them with a better contrast ratio by using a different plastic on the surface, they would come like that already.
  23. 11 196 ms 197 ms 196 ms dc-bak-csu-egm--bak-dc2.cenic.net [137.164.41.130] 12 * * * Request timed out. 13 * * * Request timed out. 14 * * * Request timed out. Same here...guess my ISP has it cached, and I was right about the dead route...
  24. Heya Dolphinicus :) I'm really glad to see you here, I've had your page on my bookmarks for ages now, keeping an eye out for your SSM2044 schematic. I've got 10 of them sitting here waiting for a good schematic ;) I was completely lost for words when I read your post about your move. I'm really sorry man. I know I would've shed a tear or 10 for that lot :( I drove my last removalist berserk, because I wouldn't let a single item of my gear out of sight... Still I somehow managed to lose a hardware sequencer and a PC, and a few expensive star wars toys, and some clothes... The next time I moved was a drama and I left behind pretty much everything but the clothes I could carry. I guess these things happen huh... But wow... I wish I could make those IC's come back!! I hope you're not too bummed. Look on the bright side - it's a really good excuse to get new toys ;D I noticed that you'd spoken of making a digital synth, Have you seen the speakjet synth module that's being worked on? There's also another IC about to be released (actually due 31/8/06) called the soundgin (a PIC18F coded just the way we like it) and a forum member here who has worked on something similar.. Both have extremely capable oscillator and mix/modulation sections which only really lack a nice filter to be a pretty darned good synth. I assume that you're already aware of the Midibox SID too ;) As with the 2044's, there are 3396's available on eBay for a reasonable price, and there's been talk of turning those into a synth too... all these things can run either digitally or via CV. Good luck with the seq, it's nice to have you on board!
