  1. No probs mate. Unfortunately there is very little documentation on customising on the wiki. If you could write a few words about what you find it would be a great help. edit: you beat me to it ;)
  2. I'm still fearing TK posting and going "That's all wrong" hehehehe
  3. OK download the SID application zip file In that file are some called cs_*.inc, for exampe cs_menu.inc You can edit them in notepad or in MPLab. Sorry I can't offer any better advice. I haven't fooled with the CS on the SID at all.... I took a look, but it's pretty complex and would take some time to figure out.... I think I'll leave that up to you ;)
  4. Hi wonder, If you are not so experienced then I would highly recommend using a display which is MIOS compatible. You may need to write a new driver for this device. Edit: No you won't have to write a new driver, that device is supported. I obviously didn't read the page well enough! I thought it was a CLCD ::)
  5. hi jaicen. Download the source code for MBSID and look at the cs_* files.
  6. Yes a display connected could be good. It could be connected to the existing core module.
  7. Sorry about that! For some reason, that post came up in a thread of it's own, that's so weird!!
  8. Agreed. I'll split it into a page of it's own today :) done: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=using_pic18f4620
  9. Yes sorry PIC :) I was a bit tired when I wrote that! You might want to check thecaps and stuff too....
  10. 1) Yep 2) Yep but you might get away without a DIN, it could be programmed by MIDI if you want 3) Only if you want more than one MIDI out 4) You might want more than just my addition :) As for your question, you are right, the router app will work with just the core, no IIC MIDI outs.
  11. Post removed, forum glitched
  12. Sounds like you fried the sid and then tried to use it again ... I'd see how you go with a new PIC... but you might want to check out the other components first, and certainly test them before you insert the PIC
  13. You can find documentation on how to alter the linker script for larger variables (including big multidimensional or nested arrays and structs), as a part of the doco for using the 4620: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=using_pic18f4620 Hope this helps. edit: new link

  16. There we go, doco. http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=application_development#using_the_pic18f4620_or_pic18f4520 Feel free to proof read, and correct any errors. It's 0530 here and I am sleeepy and prone to typing errors and stupid mistakes ;)
  17. Hey Bill, You mentioned in the French forum that you'd had a successful burn, but the Core was not responsive... Did you edit main.asm and recompile the bootloader from source? The .hex file that you can download for the 452 won't work. Edit: Oh yeh, MIOS v1.9b has sneaked onto the download page. Thanks TK :D I see there is a precompiled 4620 bootloader now, I assume you used that, bill, sorry!... It was worth a try ;)
  18. If you have a place you can host the files, or could send them to me, I can convert them to wiki format.
  19. I said in your projects, not in your core module ;D heheheheh d'oh! The burner module on ucapps.de is supposedly the way to go with the 4620's, but I wouldn't know from personal experience. My lab is kinda....not ready ;) One other member of this forum has seen my house and will attest that from the moment you walk in the door, you have to step over little pieces of my lab all the way down the hall, to get to the living room, 1/4 of which is also full of lab bits, and is adjacent to the kitchen which is, you guessed it, covered in pieces of my lab. Then there's the rest of the house.... It's a nightmare! ::)
  20. This is not an area of expertise for me but you could maybe run a windows emulator on the mac?
  21. Man I dig that cow.... you can't use it dry but it's dope if you toy with it. Yeh!! The CR snares arent too shabby either, nice noise gen...mmmm... Yep we're totally on the same wavelength here, I'm stoked :) I was fearing the disappointment if I suggested this and it was knocked back hehehehe
  22. Yeh I was thinking that!
  23. Keep dreaming mate ;) Check it out though, you never know!
  24. Sorry, allow me to correct myself... In defense of MIOS Studio and Macs, we mean Java won't allow your mac to present the MIDI Ports to MIOS Studio ;)
  25. In defense of MIOS studio... Ahh... you mean your Mac won't present the MIDI ports to MIOS Studio...
