  1. dag nabbit ! hit the wrong key. when I went to MIOS Studio.... it uploaded the SeqV3 code and worked perfectly. good luck
  2. I had the same problem when I first attempted an upload to a NEW Core from SmashTV. System went haywire, would reboot and only display black boxes on the top line of the display. Turned out it was my procedure. I was using Midi-Ox, silly me. As soon as I tried MIOS
  3. ahhh the joys of electronix That was one of the first things my mentor showed me... back in the 60's.... he says, "Look at this schematic" ... ( i don't remember what it was...)... and i say.. ok... i do..... he points to some obscure point on the schematic, then traces his finger...... all the way over to the other side of the schematic... I say... 'ok, and?' he says, 'that is the same electrical point in a DC circuit' Of course i said 'BS' or the equivalent, i was only 12 or 13. but guess what? he was correct.... that cleared up schematics ... not really sure they had autorouting back then, but yes... turn autorouting off. Seems to work for me with Eagle. gb
  4. hit the button on the top of this page that says chat.
  5. When I joined this group... back in .... '03 i think it was... I thought I could make a million bux off of this idea... then I started to read the site. At this time, a few years down the road, there is NO WAY I would ever attempt to benefit monetarily from the intellectual property contained herein.
  6. dag nabbit, i hate the under the radar thing!

[Tanstaafl] 9:28 am: my first Seq is a prototype, and once I get everything correct, i will be giving it to a buddy (one that actually performs live, as apposed to me.... i only do studio and am not really a musician) [Tanstaafl] 9:29 am: he might reimburse me for the parts, but the assembly is a labor of luv.... hee hee hee [Tanstaafl] 9:30 am: i luv the smell of solder in the morning.... smells like..... MidiBox Victory! gb

  10. Stryde.. sorry, could you point me to the drawing for the dims of the clear buttons again... didn't download it (I think we did that on the chat and I didn't save it) and am ready to make the sub-structure for the encoders and switches... etc. thanx gb
  11. delineated on the first page of this thread jamie
  12. And here are the results from yesterday's outage.... still need to make the Doutx4's for leds...
  13. Poifect !!! I spent the few hours looking at schematics on ucapps and soldering / testing / building bits for my Seq V3. Relatively painless crossover. Thanx Twin!! gb
  14. Hey Stryde! put me in for: 200 x 1S11.16.0 (Clear cylindrical) .40c Still trying to make mortgage for this month :'(, but I think I can come up with 100 bux USD by the end of this week, if the boss lady says ok. ;) Thanx for all the work on this!! gb
  15. These are the switches I got surplus locally, kinda strange front end on 'em, so I will probably kludge attachment of the button no matter what it's buttend looks like.
  16. kewl, I'll keep my spidy sensors on... :)
  17. I would sure like to see something like this in a 'round' form factor for the button tips. I have pcb switches with a built in green led, but am wanting to add the red leds and make the 'dual button / led' matrix for Seq V3. This gizmo would be perfect! if it were round. I'll do some searching, but if no luck, I have not built my front panel yet and could use the rectangular, and may add a couple hundred to the next order. I'll keep checking back for next ship date. have a better one! gb
  18. You will have to get Cores programmed with different ID numbers, and then use MB-Link to chain them together... it's not difficult to accomplish. Use the 'change-id' utility found on this forum, or order your Cores from the vendor with different ID's. Then you tie them together via J11 on each Core module and use the "MIDI FP" menu selection on the first core, and "MIDI EP" on the last core in the chain. My 'MoogModularV Midibox' uses this method without problems. Oh, you also remove the OptoIsolator from the second Core... almost forgot that! good luck, gb
  19. understood, I have a few Korg organs and a couple of Yamaha's, I've been waiting to gut myself. oh well, we are the collecting kind! gb
  20. Ben, Really looks like a great platform to GUT! OOO... all those keys and rocker switches... yummy! good luck, and good buy! gb
  21. Ryuichi Sakamoto !! What a blast from the past! I have a couple of his albums (vinyl) from the 80's, a time when his only competition was Tomita or Clause Schultz. thanx Cimo. gb
  22. Done and emailed to your gmail account. cheers gb
  23. yep, been there, done that... no more questions Actually built a few sequencers back in the 80's... all analog drove my minimoog and the modulars I had built over the years.... I'll keep you posted on progress
  24. Yeah, guess I will figure it out on my own... that always seems to be the best way. built 5 or 6 midiboxes so far, just thought I would ask. silly me, asking for help... Have a better one!
