ok that means that you place manually the objects? ie: you zoom as much as possible and place an inkscape X over a pcb X ?? simone
-
hi how do you deal with the fact that inkscape uses the left lower corner as a reference while Eagle the center? ......

hi i got a reply, there was in reality a mistake but the actual price is still ok from 10 to 49 pieces it is 275 SEK (29.3436 EUR) against the 315 SEK/1 piece .. before starting a thread in the Bulk Orders i d like to know what Wilba thinks about this: it is only 5 Euros of difference and there are some construction difficulties as we know... but if there is interest in it we can give it a go! simone oops the link to the Oled LCD http://www.fractronics.com/4x20-oled.shtml
-
hi i got an answer from the seller but it was so cheap that i asked for that to be confirmed, if those are the actual prices we have a good deal! simone
-
;D ;D ;D ;D i got a C64 power supply for 3 Euros ;D ;D ;D ;D

we love your flaws !!! ;-) dunno if it is worthy going on with this but, for sake of sake... i can have bigger holes so that the bushing can peep out of the front panel, all the knobs i ve used have a wider and empty base so that the bushing can be covered by the knob itself.. then if not 5 mm it can probably be made with 6 mm spacers so i get that extra mm to have a 3mm smoked acrylic panel and if not.. then extra boards!! how did you fix them to the pcb? on the same screws of the lcd? txx for the support simone EDIT: i ve overlooked a quite important factor, this display seems to have a PT6880 controller, any idea if they can be used? EDIT II: it s ok it s compatible!! :) :) EDIT III: i see the holes are already big enough, we only need to trim that little pin (what is exactly the bushing??) here a quick overview to the construction with the pled display
-
hi about the encoders it ll be quite easy to trim the shaft a little bit about the switches, i assume that we need 13-5=8 mm tall ones: http://rswww.com/cgi-bin/bv/rswww/searchBrowseAction.do?D=tactile%20switch&Nr=AND%28avl%3auk%2csearchDiscon_uk%3aN%29&Ntk=I18NAll&Nty=1&Ntt=tactile%20switch&Dx=mode%20matchpartial&Ntx=mode%20matchpartial&N=0&name=SiteStandard&forwardingPage=line&R=4791542&callingPage=/jsp/search/search.jsp&BV_SessionID=@@@@1367360965.1187532730@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdkaddlkgmldjhcefeceeldgkidhgf.0&cacheID=uknetscape now the pled is 9.3 mm deep, the crystalfontz is 13.6 mm deep, that makes 4.3 mm of difference so that the bezel will be at .7 mm closer to the panel than in the original, so it should be around 1.8 mm.Sounds good to me!! Let s see what they ll say, i hope they will answer tomorrow Simone

hi yes i thought that long machine screws with some bolts would do the trick. ???
-
ok, thanks for the infos, i ve written a mail to the seller to see if they have any discount for bulk orders, i see so many people (like me) have forgotten to join the bulk order for the lcd and maybe, although it is a more expensive choice, we can creat a new buying group.. so first i wait for the answer then eventually i will post in the bulk orders forum.. they also have nice 128X64 oled screens... simone

MIDI Monitor, sysex librarian and the inbuilt IAC Driver if you use OSX

hi i ve found a seller for oled 4X20 displays that can fit the MB6582, the price is about 35 euros w/out shipping, i ve never bought oled displays, do you think is it a good price? simone

.. your opinion on placing silicone rubber pads on top of normal surface mount tactil switches.. of course i am not talking about velocity sensitive buttons in this case.. i don t mind the "clicky" feeling as tactil switches are precise and long lasting... and small enough to be able to place leds around.. i really like the shape of the MC ones
-
ok i can get the silicone here but still the problem would be to make the bottom of the button to be conductive, can you take a picture of the backside of the button?? eheh as you may understand Mladen has come to visit me... simone
-
hi sasha can you make a negative moulding (is this the proper term??) of the MC pads? and yes you re right they are actually bigger than the sparkfun. No i am not going to use the sparkfun to trigger sample (velocityt sensitive) just on/off function for plugins. cheers kako je maj mune ... no idea what it means ... ;-)
-
hi txx they are the same size by my calculations... sasha we can order together and share the shipping, other europeans can join!! simone

hi i ve started a thread about this, somewhere, also telling about my failure on opening my MicroKontrol (sasha is more patient than me, evetually), i ve also started a thread in the eDrum forum, finding out that that project isn t open source..i didn t know :( I agree with AC, it would be useless to have more than 4 piezos, even 1 would be enough assuming it was squared and could cover all the piezos area. :-) Sasha can you tell us the difference between the MK pads and the sparkfun s if you can spot any? as stated in this thread which i am going to fetch now, i think that 16 velocity sensitive pads matrix could be implemented into the MBHP.. unfortunately i am not as good in coding and hardware designing as i am in posting in this forum.. simone i didn t start that topic, anyway here it is: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=9147.msg65057#msg65057

hi DB well my Live!5 does it by default, no need to hack anything.. (or is it that i dont understant what you are talking about?... midi feedback=the host says to the MB, or any other controller if a mapped button is on or off, so for example if you push a mapped button with the mouse the correspondent button will light up as well in your box)
-
wow! I am surprised, how would you change such a feature? it should be there by default! or do i miss something?
-
hi Live! 5 on both OSX and windows feedbacks the mapped midi notes.. ?????

hi around the 15th of September i want to get rid of a Powerbook 12 battery, should fit the 1, 1.33 and 1.5 Ghz models, the aluminium case.It still holds maybe 2 hours or so depending on what you are doing. It s for free, you may have to pay for shipping if outside EU. Now in case more than one person will ask for it it will go to that one with longer subscription to uCapps. Simone

nice! i also got used to leave some spare I/Os with a connector for future development, but i use stereo minijacks for this purpose: 1 jack can have 2 DIN or 1 AIN, and the good thing is that when you unplug a AIN it will automatically take it to ground.. simone

yes it is but as you can see the project has taken a completely different direction why using a system that is not found in turntables or cd players either? (answering "because it suits my wish and needs" is fair enough) some more info from the guys at xwax: Serato: - Uses a 20 bit LFSR (every 20 bits is unique) - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_feedback_shift_register - There's no such thing as "frames" - Any consecutive 20 bits can be used to determine the playback position instantly. As such, the latency here is virtually unnoticeable. - The left and right channels are encoded with the same timecode (can be used for error checking), but they're shifting 90 degrees out of phase. This allows you to determine the direction of the motion extremely quickly. If anybody has a clearer idea of what the hell they re talking about ....

hallo Alogic, one of our mates from the Spanish forum, is developing a quite interesting project. It goes like that: He s pressed an encoder s code into a vinyl. He s created a riia preamp and attached the output to a PIC16f877, the PIC will read the code, translate it to MTC code and send it out as MIDI. We are in pre beta so don t expect anything soon, but I am translating the comments in the Assembly he s written, from Spanish to English, and I ll post it asap together with the Eagle .brd files and the files to run a simulation in Isis. I am just somebody who s given some ideas to Alogic, he s done it all; my main role here will be translating the whole thing to English so that we can join force with those who are interested. Alogic will use this machine to control sequencers and synths so he s happy with MTC but i d like to get SMPTE to work to use it for DJing.Maybe other time codes can be even better, for example using Stanton or Serato s codes would avoid the need to press any special vinyl.I have written to the xwax mailing list to see if we can get the code, but hey wasn t Stanton Scratch an open format now? how do we get the code? This is not a MIOS based project, .... for the moment Simone
