  1. I have 10 more actually, 10 new old stock ones that i got.. hi!
  2. I've had EVERY piece of bad luck available to a human! i'm exaggerating, but, my wallet was lifted after i went to the USA, so ALL my ID was in it.. because you need it to travel there... ALL my ID i had to cancel my credit card, health card, social insurance card, bank card.. and with no ID, i can't get a NEW credit card, a NEW health card.. etc.. anyhow.. my ISP got the notice m credit card was cancelled, and i lost my internet for a bit. I used it at work, but they monitor what sites i go to. I got a bunch of private messages for sids, and some emails.. i replied to them all, people asked me how much, i replied with the prices, but ater that i didn't hear from people, or if i did, it got lost in the shuffle. I'll reitterate. I have 10 SID 8580, new old stock, for 25$ us each, shipping extra (unless it's really cheap. sometimes i've shipped for free before) ALl sids are tested, with cynthcart, to test the filters, and all waveforms. alright.. sigh. so, once again, who wants some sids? If you messaged me before, and you're growing angry that it's taking so long, my appologies. I will deal with you first, but otherwise, it's a first come first serve basis. Thanks!
  3. I have 4 NOS 8580 chips for sale.
  4. Will the SID 2.0 have a core on the same board? I mean, there is that guy who made the CORE + SID boards himself. But it would be really nice to have a single board, rather than fiddle around with the totally modular design. You can't use the sid module without the core module, so it's not as though it's a waste to put them together. I am at work, so if this has been answered, i haven't had time to search the thread to find it.. it's 7 pages long!
  5. YELLO everyone.. been a while. I have a couple sids left. SOmeone (still waiting on him) never managed to hook up with me for the 4 sids he wanted. So i have 4.
  6. More for #5, and #6 #3 is on wednesday, and #4 is happening while i'm at the Just for Laughs festival in montreal, so i'm not running it.
  7. Are you the bramptonian? Don't worry, i still have your sids bundled. I assumed as much. I just started working 60 hours a week, so i've let the little things slide too.
  8. I love you, for 2 reasons. I can now construct a circuit to power a PSone screen from the 9vAC on my other commodore, assuming the power supply can withstand that many amps.. i will have to reasearch more (it needs 7.5 DC, 3 amps, bt i'm takling out the CCFLS and replacing them with very low amp LEDs instead, should reduce the current intensively)! Recitfy the 9vac and regulate down to 8v (unless i can find a 7.5 v regulator, i haven't seen them around). I have to check the specs of the video amp circuit, which is the only part in the psone that uses all 7.5, the rest is regulated down to 5. I have one more question.. I know when rectifying the AC, you add caps and often a load resistor, but how does one calculate the values of such things? And if you don't feel like answering, maybe you could point me in the direction of where i can find out about this..
  9. I have a question. The bridge rectifier taking the 9VAC, converting it to DC... is then folowed by a 9VDC regulator. My question is this.. if you convert 9VAC to DC, is it boosted to a higher voltage? I don't know much about electronics.. so i'm, curious. Because wouldn't a 7809 require more than 9VDC to regulate DOWN to 9VDC? and also, why is the output of the 7809 marked on the diagram as 14VDC? isn't the function of a 7809 to create a constant voltage of 9VDC? please someone explain this to me.
  10. Hopefully everyone should receive theirs today or tomorrow. then the sweet midiboxing can begin! here is a track i made with a prophet64 (i haven't built my midibox yet) for a soundtrack to a short film i was in over the weekend. http://www.churchofinternet.com/PREP.MP3
  11. HA! and you think merely by giving me LOTS Of pertinent information you have solved my problem? you froget, i am a moron!
  12. I'm glad to hear it. My hope was everyone was satisfied when all was said and done. now if only someone would provide me with the knowledge to turn a sega master system's audio/video chip into a midibox.. then i'd be able to die in peace.
  13. THere is a show in Toronto, called Circular Laughing Breads, that is looking for DIY musicians, 8 bit people, circuit benders, to play at it. It's an alternative comedy and arts show. anyone here interested? PM me
  14. Has anyone else received any sids yet? Some of the americans should have gotten them by now.
  15. Make sure you tell me how it works out. I'm anxious to make sure they arrive in working order :)
  16. It's a jovial exclamatory "ha!" like "Hale good fellow!" paypal's pretty easy, if you have an account, i send you an invoice to that account, and you click "pay this invoice" it takes the money from your credit card, and gives it to me, then you p[ay your credit card bill. But, i will admit, i had to learn how to invoice people recently, and it was brutal.
  17. ha! sorry, i've been mega busy. I got a 2nd job, as i think i mentioned, and my correspondance has been falling off a bit. sending money in the mail is never advisable. Once i sent a cashiers check for about 600$ because the place i was paying didnt take paypal, credit cards or wire transfer, and the mail lost it. you can cancel a cashier's check and get your oney back, but if it ever shows up at the destination, and they decide to cash it, they get your money... :( good news everyone, your sids are in the mail!
  18. All the bundles are done. I got a hacksaw, took apart those tubes like a .. saw through plastic? wrapped everything up in the anti static envelopes, tomrrow i will ship them and give you all your tracking numbers. have fun, sorry for the delay :(
  19. I feel a bit bad... I sold my chips at as low a rate as i could.. you seemed to have found a much cheaper source :( I hope my guys aren't angry :( But seriously, it's good to see enterprizing people supplying chips to the community.
  20. can i ask where you got them from? did you get them from china?
  21. then off to the hardware store i go.. for such a "saw" the finest teeth available shall be purchased!
  22. Update! the anti static tubing i bought did not "cut easily" as the man at the store described, but crumbled and cracked at the touch of a knife. Seeking an alternative shipping solution than IC tubing . No added expense to you guys though, it's my own damn fault.
  23. HI! it's 25$ for a sid, + SH (shipping plus the expense of anti static tubing etc..) where are you located?
  24. There are 2 unspoken for sids To everyone who's ordered and paid, your sids are going out tomorrow. I got my prophet64 cartridge today and didn't make it to the post office before work started (i work nights). :( They're going out tomorrow!
  25. Thanks to everyone who has responded. I am still waiting on a couple people but if anyone out there is looking for sids, there are 12 unspoken for at the moment. makes a great father's day gift!
