  1. hi again, today I wanted to connect the Robbon-controller to my MBox but the only signal I get is "0" when I don't touch it and "127" when i touch it. It douesn't make a difference where I touch it, it's always the same... :-\ can you help me? matthias p.s.: Dear admin, as this thread now turns into a "troubleshooting"-thread, could you please move into the troubleshooting-folder?
  2. oh, I love such kind of problems. I've replaced the wires by longer ones to get a better overview and replaces the SIL-headers by sockets and soldered the plugs to the cable-ends to be able to change the AIN-connections without soldering. ...and it works! don't know how i've managed to make it work, but it works. thank you all for your support anyway. Now i'll finish my "beer-controller" and if everything works I'll be the happiest man in the world.
  3. I think I'll remove all wires and replace them by longer ones so It's all a bit more tidied up
  4. Ok. I've grounded every input except from one. now every input is jittering around 31. the input which is connected to a fader doesnt work either. :-\
  5. Hi Slorrin, I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you. You'll get your money for sure, but I'm very busy at the moment. slp
  6. I don't know exactly how to interpret your "ha!" , but as I'm a bit busy, too and as I don't have any experience with paypal it could take a few days until you get your money.
  7. Hi Slorrin, I'm sorry that I still haven't sent you the money :(. I've sent you a mail because I wanted to send you the money in a letter, but you didn't reply. So I first had to make a paypal-account and inform myself a bit about this way of paying. But you'll get the money for sure.
  8. Combining MBHP with a touchscreen wouldn't be that difficult. You'd need some DOUTs controlling a screen (TFT/TV/etc.) and some blank wires crossing the screen vertical and horizontal which are connected to some DINs/DOUTs. If you touch a part of the screen, a wire of the X-axis comes in contact with a wire of the Y-axis -> signal to the PIC. I don't know if you know what I mean, but it wouldn't be that difficult to realize.
  9. What about this.. http://www.jazzmutant.com/lemur_overview.php (2.160€)
  10. I was wondering myself about the bench, because my grand-grandfather has already used it. I've measured the Voltage btw. the gnd-contact in the socket at the wall and the bench. I think my shoes isolated a bit. I've already a theory where the voltage could come from. There is a kind of a fountain in my garden. The power for it comes from a socket near my bench. But the cable from the pump was too short so I had to use an extension cord. The two cables are connected in the underground. I've bought a special box for this connection, but it seems not to be watertight anymore.... I've pulled the plug for the pump out of the socket and It's safe now.
  11. I'm going to try this, when I've repaired my "killa-work-bench" http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=6898.0
  12. It actually has got a kind of wooden board at the top, but the plate doesn't cover the whole surface. There's still a ca. 8cm rim. And I touched it.
  13. Hi folks, I don't know whether it's the right expression, but my work bench is live (ger.: steht unter Strom). It was a normal friday afternoon when I wanted to complete my MBox. I touched a metal plate of my workbench and suddenly... bzzzz :o! Fortunately I managed to get myself off the plate so I touched it just ca. 2 sec. I survived. I took a voltmeter and measured about [glow=red,2,300]225V[/glow] AC (Germany) between GND and the work bench. And I still don't know where the 230V come from.... I just wanted to warn you. Always check the voltage between you and your work bench ;D p.s.: could this be the reason for jittering AINs?
  14. no. If I gnd everything but the 6 faders there's still some jittering. should I use shielded cables for the signal-wires?
  15. I'm going to try this the next days. I wanted to try it today, but somehow the gnd-socket of the old, rusty power supply my neighbor gave me is not what it's supposed to be. I don't know exactly what it is, but it hurts ! ;D
  16. I'm using a MBox plus. 2 multiplexers > 16 AINs I can't use more ains, but 16 are enough for me. If I pull the faders 4-6 down, I can use 1-3 without anything jittering... but I don't get any signal from the pots and the unused ains
  17. ...if I connect a certain AIN to gnd, the pots jitter less, but the Midi-out-led is still binking very fast....
  18. Hi Acid, 1. 2. He has got 30 chips. 30-(16+1+4+1+4+1+2)= 1 There's only 1 chip remaining slp
  19. I'm interested in buying one or two SIDs, too. just pm me if you've got any left and how much they would cost.
  20. No. I've connectet the unsused AINs to ground, and it seemed to work, but now it doesn't recieve any Signals from the pots. :'( Perhaps this can help you: AIN 1-6 Faders AIN 7-10 unused / Gnd AIN 11-16 Pots
