  1. Hi Wilba, I nearly have finished my pt10-mbfm,just waiting for the frontpanel to arrive. If you like I`ll send you my Schaeffer-files,pm me with your emailadress please. I go with a 2x40 optrex display,a 4x20 looks a bit strange when scrolling thru the menues. The interaction of the matrix and the v-pots is great, much better than expected,i don`t miss additional pots. Perhaps tempo(midi)synced lfos like in the sid v2 engine would be nice to have, but that`s another story... Greetz Brother303 :)
  2. Hi folks, any news here? Did Nebula send his files to you,Sonic? Greetz Brother303 :)
  3. Hi, amazing stuff, cool! @Swinkels : Is it possible to add an option to switch the aliasing-filter off? Would be nice to have some "x-tra lofi-amount" by a flick of the switch. Waldorf did this in their microwave 2 engine and I like this feature very much! Regards Brother303
  4. Hi all, did anyone here purchase chips from this seller? Are they ok or 50% dead-sids like the ones in the bulk-orders-thread? Any experiences? 6851 chips here at £10 each http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Commodore-64-6581-SID-Chip-NOS_W0QQitemZ320190102996QQihZ011QQcategoryZ4193QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD4VQQcmdZViewItem 6582 cips here at £20 each http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Commodore-64-6582-A-SID-Chip-NOS_W0QQitemZ320190077491QQihZ011QQcategoryZ4193QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD4VQQcmdZViewItem Brother303
  5. Hi all, Nebulas ideas sounding very good to me,but for my personal needs I would prefer to have a cv/gate-option right on-board. Drum-triggers are also fine in addition to cv/gate outs... The leds and buttons wich are not on the pcb can be easily put on breadboard or something, but a "basic-pcb" with most parts on it would be fantastic! Even if a cv-option is not build in it seems to be easy to upgrade with a single aout/aout-lc or aout-ng board... Greetz Brother303 :)
  6. Hi, please count me in for 2x 6581 if possible! Email sent... :) Regards Brother303
  7. Hi Wilba, thanks, this helps much. It`s ok to me to make a little change in the filter-menu (ensembles). Don`t think I`m going to code... Thanks lot,Wilba! Great support!! ;D
  8. Hi all, I already started soldering my mb6582 now. I want to stuff my unit with 4 x 6582, 2 x 8580 and 2 x 6581. I know about the different psu-options,the jumpers to get 9 or 12v and about different filter-caps for the different SID-versions. My question is : Are there any changes in the main.asm-file required when I want to stuff some 6581-SIDs? Or just put in,select the filter caps and psu-option and be happy? THX Brother303
  9. Hi, but what`s about DX100 or FB01-Sounds? 4 or 6 operators per voice?? Greetz Brother303
  10. Hi TK, yes,it`s a mystery... I`ll check my midi-interface with the method you described above, let´s see what will happen. And of course I try again to load mios and the fm-application to check there are no errors. Stay tuned! Greetz Brother303
  11. Hi TK, no,sadly I have no access to another midi-interface. The driver is new and fresh. But how can it be that mios and application-upload was successful and only the preset-upload goes wrong? It`s all sys-ex,isn`t it??? ??? by the way,I tryed midiox with 750ms delay, still the same result... Best Brother303
  12. Hi TK, the log-window of the patch manager shows me "Midi In:Error Code 01" after sending a single patch to the bankstick. Perhaps this information helps? Greeetz Brother303
  13. Hi all, @Doc: Yes,the resistors are in,checked and measured, all fine here... @TK:No,I`m not able to overwrite the first patch. When I switch the mbfm on,one upload request is sent via midi out. Mios-upload and the application-upload was successful with MiosStudio,I used the "use feedback from core"-option and all was fine.Seems the midi out is ok?!? Greetz Brother303 :'(
  14. Hi Doc, I use a core-pcb from Smash,R4D,have to check the resistors you told me. Yesterday I built myself a single-bankstick-pcb,just to make sure that it`s really not a soldering-issue with my bankstick-pcbs from Mike. Same effect,no cure, still not able to load the presets. ...I`m going to check the resistors THX! Brother303
  15. Hi Doc, I used 24LC256 from Atmel and Microchip Hi S1, I don`t think it`s a soldering issue. Had a second bankstick pcb here,I checked with both pcbs and different 24LC256. And I`ve checked each connection for shorts or breaks... Perhaps someone here could be so friendly to upload the presets and some random-banks for me,of course I`ll send you some ICs to do this. ;) Would be great!!! Thanks Brother303
  16. Hi again, I forgot, each time I try to load the presets up,the TL-Patchmanager shows me "Bankstick A not ready". But bankstick A (and also B,C+D) is ready, cause I can store patches to any location on all 4 banksticks. Any hints? .....please!!! :'(
  17. Hi folks, finished my mb-fm,not an easy project, but sounds great! Everything is working fine but there is one problem left: It`s impossible to load the preset patches! I use a bankstick-pcb from Mike, stuffed with four ICs,the voltages are ok,the connections are ok,used a multimeter to check this (directly from the pic pins 6+28 to the banksticks). 5V and ground are also ok. Mios recognised and formatted the eeproms and it`s possible to store Instruments/Ensembles/Drumkits to each bank (A-D) First I used 24lc256 from Atmel and switched to Microchip later with no better results. Could it be a midi-interface issue? I use an ESI Neon USB-interface. Any suggestions? ??? Greetz Brother303
  18. Hi Nebula, solved!!! It was a pic-trouble,not a display or wiring prob! :o Ordered a new pic, mios upload was succesful, mbfm upload was succesful,no more garbage on the srceen. The wiring was ok,everythings fine now! ;D Thanks for your help guys! Best Brother303
  19. Hi Goglinz I didn`t recieve nothing until today... ??? Something went wrong??? :( Best Brother303
  20. Hi Prof, would you be so kind to add one pack of JD Weld to my order? THX lot!!! ;D
  21. Hi Kart, didn`t receive a pm,did I miss something? Greetz Brother303
  22. Hi, no shorts or something,I tested it with my multimeter. Try to get myself another pic to test it... Greetz Greg
  23. Hi Stryd, it`s the mbfm-main screen. Typed out it`s: ENS. I 1 I Ptch I Name I Chn. I Audio A1 I 1 I A5 I Rhodes Piano I 1 I 1234 That`s what it should be. Could it have something to do with the mios-studio lcd debugging function? I played around with that function,typed something in,sent it to the display,cleared the screen,perhaps I messed up something here? :-\ Greetz Greg
  24. Hi, Gns.>k>Rvcj-Ncog"" KoC"3">3>C""3>Rjofgs is the startup-page of the fm-application! Gns is ENS(emble) etc. Looks weird,doesn`t it? :(
