Apparat's record release in a big theater in Berlin 2007. I stepped back to the seats and recorded it with my cam. It really couldn't capture the atmosphere. But that was my best concert ever. This one I haven't been at, but I like the part of the music and the way he seems to grab his cigar in sync as if it was part of his MIDI controller.

haha, there was a vivid discussion if a sample rate conversion of the synth part made up the ca. one semitone difference. people at youtube fanatically started "proving" or "disproving" that, like if there was nothing worse in their lives than van halen playing a semitone down. of course it still sounds awful, but i'd prefer a detuned van halen to... say many other musicians out there.

What I like about the Remote SL mapping is that you can quickly switch between volume, pan, and all sends all on 8 knobs (or sliders), and that in banks of 8 tracks. Then you have 8 Encoders for all your device banks. LC is more powerful, Remote SL is easier, doable on MB64(E) or for smaller performance controllers, probably without need for a (big) display.

Das ist genau "what I'm up to"! Hast du für die 74HCs SMD-Teile benutzt? Auch scheint jeder Motorfader einen eigenen Regulatorschaltkreis zu haben, sind diese mit TC4427s in SMD-Form gebaut? Hättest du etwas dagegen, das PCB-Layout einsehen zu lassen? Ich möchte lernen.

Bin kein Experte, aber wenn man sich den Datasheet ansieht, findet man eine LED-Matrix für die 31 LEDs. Wäre das am Beispiel der Midibox LC mit 8 dieser Encoder dann nicht wie eine (DOUT)LED-Matrix die 8 LED-Matrizen steuert? Nebenbei, könnten nicht nur 16 der 31 LEDs genutzt werden?

Leitende Faderknöpfe hör ich zum ersten Mal! Ich wusste das nicht, wie funktionieren die? Die LC ist ja so in bits n' peaces dokumentiert, da hab ich dies wohl übersehen.

Da ich bald ins Ausland umziehe, gebe ich die Teile wieder ab. Genau das Selbe mache ich auch... Ich baue einen Brenner 8P, und will nicht mit nem eigenen Breadboard den PIC18F2550 brennen, um den Brenner benutzen zu können... Also, es handelt sich übrigens um einen 28-Füßler, genauer gesagt um den PIC18F2550 - den würde ich dann zuschicken (und nen kleinen Obulus ;) ) Ganz meine Rede. Kann jemand den PIc für mich brennen? - so you do want the midibox to work with note on/off messages? if not, you could easily use control change messages instead. - if you need note on/offs to map to anything, then sure, just send on a different channel, or configure different channels for your tracks in ableton. - aren't there a 'track' and a 'remote' switch for each device in the midi preferences? I think 'track' is for midi notes of the particular device to record melodies, and 'remote' allows to use the note messages of the device to be mapped. I haven't got ableton here, so tell me if I am wrong!
