  1. There are possibities to meassure it with a multimeter with a range for capacitor. You can also meassure the resistor of it to see if it has a short. But the best thing would be to buy a new one, they are very cheap and the risk of an later appearing proplem would be solved.
  2. Hi, you write that you´ll need 2 sliders. As I know Midibox64E has only digital inputs, you´ll need 2 analog inputs. I think writing a little application would perhaps be the best solution for you. I´m not a programmer, but this should not be so difficult for this setup?! Have you any skills in programming? Greetings Markus
  3. Yes you read it! Look here: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=5116.0;topicseen
  4. Good to hear, yes that was the right way. Just like discribed in the upper link! Greetungs Markus
  5. Good work, the case looks very professional.
  6. Hi and welcome. Is the bootstrap loader on the pic? Did you get the upload request like discribed here? http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap_newbies.html Perhaps check the pots on the core board! Greetings Markus
  7. @ sneakthief The post was an good idea. We should bomb ebay with emails. Perhaps they will do something when there is more then only one complaint.
  8. The mk_midio128_syx is only a configuration dump for thze application. You have to upload this application: http://www.ucapps.de/mios/midio128_v2_1d.zip You should also download MIOS Studio to upload the application. The following link discribes how to do that. (Discription starts at the half of the page) http://www.ucapps.de/mios_bootstrap_newbies.html greetings Markus
  9. Hi also this side on the wiki for a better understandig. http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/mios Greetings Markus

    fader frage

  13. Souns like a "software problem". In the midibox menü, there is a menüpoint called PotMode ->Pot Behaviour It sounds like you have changed it from normal mode to snap mode. Snap Mode (Soft-Overtake): When you adjust a knob in Snap Mode, the original setting determines the value until the point where the movement of the knob passes beyond this position. In other words, the parameter does not jump to the value as in Normal Mode. However, keep in mind that your adjustments have no effect on the parameter until the knob "snaps" on at the position equivalent to the original parameter. In SNAP mode, an right arrow symbol appears instead of the parameter bar. It indicates in which direction the knob must be turned to exceed the current parameter value. Arrow Left implies the value is lower. The parameter bar appears when the value is "snapped". With the mk_syx skrypt (http://www.ucapps.de/howto_tools_mbsyx.html) you can change the pot behaviour if you havent got an lcd display and menü buttoms to do it directly. Greetings Markus

  15. Be glad that there´s no enigma! ;D
  16. Have you tried to disconnect the IIC Modul and only connect the Bankstick? What kind of coreboard do you use?
  17. Have you uploaded Mios? If your answer is yes, check the contrast pot at the coremodul. Greetings
  18. Can you post a picture of your board? Perhaps you have connected it to J8 instead of J9? Which application do you use (Midibox 64, LC...)? Greetings Markus
  19. Hi, I´m not a programmer, but if I understand it right you have to modify the mios_tables.inc . At the moment there are no events in (MT_EOT). So have a look at this applicatin: http://www.ucapps.de/mios/ain64_din128_dout128_v1_3.zip In the mios_tables.inc for example you can read this: ;; 128 buttons and LEDs assigned to MIDI events "B0 00 <value>" to "B0 7F <value>" ;; 64 pots assigned to MIDI events "B1 00 <value>" to "B1 3F <value>" MIOS_MPROC_EVENT_TABLE ;; entry 0x00-0x0f MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x00 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x01 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x02 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x03 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x04 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x05 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x06 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x07 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x08 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x09 MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0a MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0b MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0c MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0d MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0e MT_ENTRY 0xb0, 0x0f If I´m right, this is what you need. See also: http://www.ucapps.de/mios/mios_din_dout_pin_numbers.txt Here are the din dout nummbers, you´ll need. Hope that`s all true. Greetings Markus
  20. Hello, with 15V on the J1 port of the core the voltage regulator will get very hot! You forgott to supply the sid modul with 5V from the core. (J2 to J2) Please look here: http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_sid_c64_psu.pdf You use the sid 6581, right? Then 12V are O.K. Best regards Markus
  22. Hello, where was the problem with the sid and lcd? The problem with the encoder could be a wrong pinning or the wrong detented mode. I think I saw this in mios_tables.inc ? There you should set the detent or non detent mode. But I have no experience with that. See also http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=encoder_specifications for encoder details. Greetings Markus
  23. That makes sense, because MD and MU are also connected to the J15 port which goes to the lcd. So you should check the sid board, especially IC2 and IC3.
  24. Have you added the 2 isolated cables on the bottomside of the pic module? Without the one between J10 PWM and core the sid will not be clocked!
