  1. Damn! *whack* wasnt exactly the most intelligent thing to put at the end of my sid order so! Hope it doesnt get voided! :P Great to see the RC8 release, i didnt think we'd be this close to a V2 release so quickly. ;D
  2. None whatsoever, the irish folk are a bit more laid back! ;) Its only stuff sent through ups that you can have problems with. Thanks again, Cant wait to get my kit finished and power it up.
  3. Recieved my LCD Display early this morning, and i have to say the packaging is absolutely superb. at 11 dollars shipping its a steal. An lcd is bigger than i imagined on screen, the bigger the better! Thanks a lot nebula, quality service.
  4. Thanks for the confirmation nebula dude. :)
  5. Oh man, just by looking at this thread i know im after getting in way over my head with the project. :-\ Im just going to have to learn as much info as i can on electronics before i even start putting the thing together. Thanks a lot for linking that site which shows how to make the Optimised PSU. I was trying to find something which shows a noob how to build it on this site from scratch but I couldnt find anything. Id be lost without it!
  6. Hey nebula, I was just wondering if you recieved my payment in time. I dont think i got an email from you, mind you i had to delete more than 200 spam emails! Cheers, Smithy.
  7. Wilba if you would be so kind, add my name to the resquest list. Just in a case another lot of sids popped up somewhere.
  8. This is excellent! Just what i was looking for.
  9. Hehe, i think i need to go back to college.
  10. Thats strange, you may need to update your PDF Viewer. The dimensions in mm say: 182 (W) x 34.5 (H) x 15.1 (D) What does the D stand for? Distance maybe? I though there would have been an L for length. ??? Weight = 110g max
  11. Thanks for the update. Its probably only fair you send out the invoices after you find out how much it is to post it internationally. Just incase all the yanks and canadians get all the orders before the rest of us get a chance! ;)
  12. Hehe, youtube embedding is fun. Thanks man. What can i say? I get excited easily. :P Lets hope i dont blow up my box and run out of positivity!
  13. Thanks DUDE! hehe Its good practice alright to help out with the documentation. Im getting very enthusiastic about this community and wouldnt mind helping out in what little way i can. Hell, ive even ordered a kit from smash already. Cant wait to get to work.
  14. Sounds great to me. ;) Its a shame theres very little videos when you consider the amount of midiboxes that have been made. A lot of inspiration and motivation is to be offered by them.
  15. :o Imagine stuffing all them into an MB. 936 Oscillators enough for you?
  16. Just being friendly. :P I think ill say "man" for next few days, followed by homey, followed by hombre. .....On seconds thoughts no, ill just stop saying it all together! ;)
  17. Hehe thanks dude! I never even thought of that. Forgive me! Only on the site 2 days!
  18. I think it would be better to have one thread for each module, instead of throwing them all into one. It would make it a lot easier to find. And of course a sticky for each would be superb. ... One video i would die to see is of Wilba's MB-6582 module in action! ;D Man that is a dream synth! If you could find the time to make one dude, i think it would be greatly appreciate by all of us. It would probably end up on about 20 blogs in the space of a week! :P
  19. Thanks for the heads up. I thought it looked a bit fishy alright. They have replacement heads alright for it that are cheaper than the iron, but i dont think its worth it now.
  20. Thanks for that dude! it looks ill be buying one from nebula in the end.
  21. Sometimes it helps if you write "Gift" or "Sample" on the package to avoid customs duty. At least in Ireland we can get away with it anyway. My friend ordered dj equipment from www.turntablelab.com (US), who put "sample" on the package and shockingly he didnt have to pay customs duty. Nebula thanks a lot for going to the trouble of making that video. Great to see what the product been tested in front of my own eyes! ;)
  22. More of a tool than a part but its seriously good value for beginners or people on a tight budget. This offer is best suited to people living in the UK and Ireland. The fine tip is makes soldering circuit components much easier, and 30w is more than enough power! I cant believe how cheap this is: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=32909&doy=21m9#overview
  23. I have now dude, thanks! ;D Email sent. Might we worth posting it on the other recent LCD threads.
  24. I came across an ebay seller, selling a 2x40 LCD, and when i asked for a datasheet he linked me to this site which is even cheaper: http://maverickelectronic.com/lcds.html The 2x40 LCD is only £4 + £1.99 p+p worldwide (it does not change no matter what country i select) Heres the specsheet for the all the models: http://www.esnips.com/nsdoc/c88ddf19-9f17-4ef9-bf1a-22dd83cfe251 The specs for the 2x40 module is on page 12. From the diagram it appears the controller is "KS0076B or equivalent". Will this LCD work witht he Midibox SID??? In the Compatible list in the wiki i see a Samsung KS0076 is compatible. Is there a difference between KS0076B and KS0076
  25. Excellent news. Thanks.
