I think I am interested in knowing more about this project, as I have an RGB LED array 8x8 = 64 waiting for something to interface with. What else can you tell me about this project, or where is the thread?

Stryd-one sounds like you have way more experience than I do developing these things. I think you just saved me hours of painstaking labor to find out I am using the wrong micro-pro. Let me know how your work develops.

I have a 64 button 8x8 RGB Grid sitting on display waiting for a project like this to get going. I was using a sparkfun RGB backpack and an Arduino but would be willing to switch to PIC's.
