  3. hehe...nice one... yeah, when lights getting bigger and bigger, pancakes up on ya head should help! 8)
  4. never mind...it´s running now...my bankstick was broken too...removed it and without bankstick the j5 gates are now working...
  5. hi there...sadly i fried my pic 18f452 somehow by using a faulty wallwart...because this was my only *452 pic i had, i decided to use my spare 18f4620 pic...i change the processor type in the "makefile.orig" and succesfully dumped the new hexfile "setup_j5_enabled.hex" in... now it works again but without the 8 gates on j5....only the two gates at the aout bord stuffed with the 2 max525 are working...is there something i could change to make these work again? thanx...nik

    808 kick drum

nahh...dis was nodd de question! ;)

    808 kick drum

mmm...yeah i know...the self oscillation thing....but my questions was (on the eight-o-eight-forum) if it would ever be possible to mod the circuit so that it quits it´s "old" oscillation when a new trigger comes in...to avoid such behavior...like the 909 does "resetting" the oscillator (i know this 909 circuit is based on an oscillator which differs compared to the 808 filterswing) ...

    808 kick drum

is it?...i got the same behavior on my real 808 and on my clone...this happens when the decay is long. i posted this some time ago... http://eight-oh-eight.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=341 but never got any solutions yet.
  9. if u look at the datasheet of a tl074 , it´s absolutly fine driving them with +-15V...i got a bunch of them in my 808clone which is also +-15V...the sheet says "maximum rating +-18V"...

    MIDIbox SEQ V3.4

any news on 3.4f ?...are you going to implement the "global shuffle grid" already? :D
  11. @ sexy beast ....yeah but with a processing fee of 7.50$ and a limit to 3 devices you could better go and buy them... ;)
  12. you could try it here... http://www.rs-components.com/index.html
  13. oh you need to apologize to your girlfriend then... ;)
  14. cables checked?...sometimes it´s that easy...midi interface?...(...got a different one to check?)...optocoupler broken? (as i mentioned before....i had issues too before i changed the 6n138s... ...what exactly did u do that made it work "better"?
  15. mmm...not exactly the same,but...when i had midi issues like "midi timeout" once the app was already in, i had a faulty optocouplers...sometimes working, sometimes not...maybe try to change the 6n13x if you got one spare...
  16. yepp...makes sense...guess i´ll have too wait then...(...oh, i´m bad at this ;) ) $25 is absoluvly fine...presolder/bootstrapped...i´ll go with this...since i´m etching boards myself, it´s a pain in the a$$ doing this with dual sided and smd parts on it... ...weehee...mucho thanks so long...i´ll go ´n finish my two seq3.4 these days... :D
  17. mm..ok...when will they be available then? how much will it be with presoldered chips?...can´t get any information of the "new" board at smash´s site...
  18. wow sounds great...small change?..ok, nice...maybe something for the mb808 as well ;) for sure...if this could be implemented , would be awesome...oooh , time for me to get hands on seq v4 , i think...is there a way to order stm32-presoldered boards somewhere in germany? ...i don´t mind soldering them on my own , but i can´t burn them...or is there a simple diy burner for stm32?
  19. aah... i saw moogah got this steplength thingy already started in another thread...sorry for that
  20. ...or let´s say worth the affort... when i got a shuffled track ie. the ordinary shuffle where each second/even step is laid back 8 ticks...then i switch on random dir/step...the pattern seems to be a bit out of sync...i know it isn´t ...that´s because more than one laidback steps like 2,4,4,8,6 are triggered in series, if i get it right...but then it would be nice, they stay in the dedicated shufflegrid, something like a mastergrid where u can use shuffle on...maybe similar to the "hardwired shuffle" in the mb808, where i just use a pot for intensity. just a thought... ;) second Q. i own a fr777...maybe someone knows the sequencer of this unit... theres a nice trick for binding notes or define steplength for each note...it´s like pressing a step, let´s say step 5, hold the step and simultaneously press the step to which the note should bind to, let´s say 9...there u got the gate/length set from 5 to 9... ...if its too much affort to pack it into seq 3.x , maybe into 4?...what do u think?
  21. wow...nice...thank u very much...this did the trick...dunno why it was like that, ´cause i didn´t change anything in the "cs_m_utils.inc" before...only added a few button assignments... ...now i got a few other Qs , but starting a new thread... ;)
  22. mmm...strange...when i´m in 16 step length, the leftmost changes the start from the copyrange, the rightmost changes the end...when i change the track to 32...the leftmost and the rightmost both changes only the start... ???...something must be wrong...or i don´t get it...
  23. ...when i got 16 step as length for a track , i can set the copyrange with the outer encoders...but when i set the length to 32 steps, the outer right encoder changes the first step range rather than the last step...is this a feature or a bug?
  24. heya...there was something wrong with my pcb...maybe terminition or so...did a new one, assembled it all and now it works as aspected...yoohoo...thank u very much for great support from your side on this...next time i´ll better check triple ;))
  25. hey thanx a lot...but...did this allready...somehow in my setup.asm it looks like (5 is the last Dout SR in my chain): LED_GROUP1 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 7) ; LED_GROUP2 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 0) ; LED_GROUP3 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 5) ; LED_GROUP4 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 6) ; LED_TRACK1 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 2) ; LED_TRACK2 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 1) ; LED_TRACK3 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 3) ; LED_TRACK4 EQU (((5 -1)<<3)+ 4) ; ...due to my pcb layout...so i guess it must be something else... what does the max SR (1-16) meant to do?...since i got 17 SRs in total...5 DOUTs and 12 DINs should it be 12 ´cause the longest chain is 12? or 17 (in total)? maybe its only a terminition thing...i´ll go try it out...post you afterwards... ;)
