  1. hey...since i started to build a new custom version of the seqV4 board, i wonder if there´s a physical connection to MidiOut 4? i can change the midiport to MidiOut1-4, IIC1-4 etc. but MidiOut4 is signed with an asterix...is this just a dummy or placeholder?...or is there a "real" port somewhere on the board?...MidiOut1-3 are already connected and working... sm:)e, nik
  2. can u regulate the LM317 then? did u check with and without the 74hc14?...i remember a similar issue, and some of my 74hc14 was broken now, they both (lm317 and 78L05) get a bit warm but not hot on my board... @sidmonster : there´s need of about 12-13V to burn pics , therefore that amount of volt.
  3. Hey...got mine last monday...forgot to post ;) assembled already, working great! ...nice quality btw. ...where do you get these pcb´s from? ...i´m sick of etching pcb´s by myself, g* sm:)e , nik
  4. looks like there´s a short between +5V and GND somewhere...check and doublecheck all solderings... ;)
  5. first i would check the optocoupler...in my last order of 10 pcs. i got 3 broken ones...so maybe that one is dead...just swap it with a working one and check again.
  6. hey...this quite a while ago when i had similar problems with the 16f88 hex...P18 won´t do the job since its for 18FXXX pics, but you´ll need an older version of "pbrenner" to get it work... try http://www.sprut.de/electronic/soft/pbrenner26.zip this should give no errors. sm;)e , nik
, damit´s schön saftig bleibt... gibts platinen kochrezepte?
  9. hey looks interesting...will this be only MBHP_CORE_LPC17 or also STM32 ?
:ahappy: sm:)e, nik
  11. i thinks it´s all about the timing...while midi is serial, triggering analogstyle like the 808 is more timingprecise... you should consider that the accent is different on those machines...while the 808 has a global-accent which is triggered by a little pulse (1ms) on the steps going from 5-15V, using the accent-pot to vari these value...5V is constant, the pulse on the steps triggers an "accentuator" to punch in. microlarge used the aout to seperate the "global-accent" and drive the instrument-accent via midi then. if you look closer they are not all with it´s own velocity-aout. the 909 has a different accent. they each (intruments) have their own accent-line when looking at the schematics. but the accents aren´t driven by a single pulse-click, it´s more a constant value which stays until a new value is given. if you try to drive this with the 808 accent on the mb808 you will get nasty clicks and not the accent-behaviour like you wish. so you would need an own accent-track for each drumpart what means changing in code ( if it would be possible...dunno much about coding ;) ) but what will work in the mb808seq is clamping each 909 accent to +V to make them trigger (you can even leave the dedicated opamp out, since it´s tripling the 5+ to ca. max 15V ), but then you loose the accent completly... i did this on my 909BD and 909LT which i put in my mb808 spare tracks, they work but without accent. if i´m wrong , feel free to correct me... otherwise sm:)e , nik
  12. nice... :frantics:;) so me again, hehe ... is it for purpose when in "move-mode"( where u can move single steps) , that every selected step after the first moved step switches to the note of the step before ??...so ie. selecting step 1 ( c#2 ) moving around works...then selecting step 6 ( b#4 ) becomes also c#2 when moving...maybe its a quick copy feature but i find it strange when u just want to "shuffle" some steps around...it works only when releasing the move GP-5 and reentering it for next steps. sm:)e, nik
  13. ya...a little thought later, it was clear to me...makes totally sense...my fault  me no issue yet found ...so go for it
  14. i noticed some minor issues...not only with the new firmware, older also , but...in the mute page the lcd shows "mute" even when using shift-mute, shouldn´t it be "solo" then? also the shown instrument doesn´t change when turning the intrument-encoder while in mute-page... 2nd - the progression page: forward only works when some backwards steps are defined, shouldn´t it be like skipping a few steps when backwards is zero and forwards is more than one?...dunno... well, doesn´t bother me much, since i really seldom use these features... but, for now it really runs great with the new firmware... greets, nik
  15. Nice!!...now it works as expected... great job...thanks!
  16. correct...thats the way it should be...as it did some versions before... btw. i found the version on my hdd wich was like this...maybe it helps... i swapped it in the new version...then it works...but the delaytriggers won´t anymore... seq_groove.inc
  17. but this worked before...just with setting the tracklength to odd numbers...now there´s even a problem when having a track set to "random dir" and "random step" ...it will be off sync even when the track length is set to 16 like measure is... btw. steps per measure is set to even number...difficult to change to odd numbers without recoding the hex.
  18. mmm...sync to bar/measure is working now...but the global groove when using odd track length with shuffle isn´t... i just tested with rimshot set to length "7" and used the shuffle pot to about 7 and its off sync every 2. loop... btw. synced part change and pattern change -> great!!
  19. as you wish...i´ll promise ;) well, i had 808 seq v 1.1b running flawlessly, so there was no need 4 me to update to 1.1c...i never used midiout. btw. the "Track Copy" function is working for a track from Part A-D while "Step Copy" works within the highlighted Part ( ie. you can copy Part "A" to Part "D" )...is it possible to change that to behave like the "Step Copy"? ie. having a rimshot line in Part "A" and want to copy only that line to "C" or maybe to the cowbell-layer on Part "D" is not possible, since it copies the triggers from A to D and also paste it from A to D... so limiting the "copy/paste track" to only selected parts would be really cool...but only if its not tooo time consuming, referring to
  20. exactly...seems to not working this way anymore...had worked before as i remember...but i can´t find my old files due harddisk changes in my system, so i had to download the 1.1c ...
  21. after i reworked my 808Seq, i had to re"make" the hexfile again, cause couple of things changed... so i noticed: ...synch to measure isn´t working right...always double-triggering the first step... also global shuffle isn´t doing correct when setting tracklength to odd numbers, like 7 or 9... with shuffle, they are kicked out of synch...wasn´t that working before ? edit: forgot to mention , i downloaded Midibox808 V1.1c
  22. sounds like "sync to measure" is activated...i still have v43 installed, so can´t proove... edit: or maybe "global loop" is on?
  23. futurlec.com got the XR2206 and a LM566 in stock...just for info
