my sequencer now got a face... since i found about DIY, i bought many boards for diffrent projects like gssl, simplesizer or x0xb0x and so on... so i had no money for all the missing parts of the sequencer... but now, tada... It has even blue displays and orange big leds for the.. how ever u call it. the step thing that walks through :D cheers... lol i am drunk to much have a nice weekend... and again many thanks for this project ;)

as far as i understand your explaination... any digital inputs exept of thoes ones connectet to the first modul are not getting recognised ??? hmmmm, have you tried to messure volatage on the other din modules? mybe you could try to connect every modul singlewise and check to work out which of your din moduls might be faulty.

Gibts in allen Farben und Grössen, Eckig, Rund Hoch oder Tief zwischen 8 und 25 € Ich habe sogar eben schon 2 Gefunden... bei denen eine ALU Frontplatte mit dabei ist (18€). Heisst du sparst Geld wenn du dir bei Schäffer ne Platte anfertigen lassen willst (Kundenmaterial)

alles kein thema, jeder hat ja seine eigenen vorstellungen... ich habe eben bei einem Kollegen als auch beimir geshen das es zu Problemen kommen kann... Ein Kollege hat 3 Motu 896 und hat eben Probleme mit dem Sync gehabt, jetzt wo er nen Mac hat klappt es... zu meinem Equipment... Ja ist schon gut :D Hab mir erst alles neu zugelegt, erst vor knapp 3 Jahren angefangen, deswegen noh ein wenig euphorie über die ganze geile technik... Ich habe sogar seit gestern noch nicht mal geschlafen, ich hab mich die ganze zeit im bett gewälzt und musste dann aufstehen und nachts um 2 ein paar Stunden am Korg MS2000 herumdrehen... Ich finde das einfach Geil was ihr hier macht, so hochkomplexe Geräte zu Programieren und zu entwickeln, einfach Geil. Ich wünschte ich könnte auch so was machen, aber ich bleibe wohl nur beim "Techniker" ist einfach zu schwer :-[ Mir bedeutet diese Technik alles, es ist im Prinzip alles was ich habe, mein Leben Naja ich werde mich in der Zukunft darum bemühen nur Sinnvolle Posts zu senden :D Was hat den 96 Khz mit ISDN Codec zu tun *dumm frag ??? edit: Das seh ich ja jetzt erst... das geht ja immernoch um einen Mixer fürn Radio... lol Naja gut :P

das multiface ist sicher nicht schlecht, warscheinlich die Beste Lösung... Ich würde aber auch das Motu HD192 angucken, oder das Motu 896... Das einzigste was mir eben bei Motu nicht so zusagt ist die Tatsache das es durchaus zu Problemen mit dem Sync kommt wenn man kein Firewire mit Texas Instruments hat... Ich selber hatte bereits das Multiface bezahlt, aber musste es dummerweise umtauschen... Jetzt habe ich das Focusrite Saffire Pro 26, also Wandlermässig klingt es wirklich sehr gut, im Gegensatz zu Motu meiner meinung nach ein ticken wärmer. Aber es hat eben auch ein paar Macken. Also das Safire Pro würde ich nicht Empfehlen, auch wenn es gut klingt, es ist einfach zu schwer es stabil am laufen zu halten. Ich habe mir den gesamten PCI Bus für das Texas Instruments Firewire frei geräumt. U320 SCSI Platten mit PCI-X angebunden / 2 Dualcore Xeon und ein Tyan Board. Jedesmal wenn ich inden Tracks /Spuren gescrollt habe ist das Interface weggeflogen. Jetzt geht es. Aber wie gesagt, das RME Multiface ist wohl wirklich sehr gut. :o Aber am Motu 896 oder am HD 192 (mit PCI Karte) hast du erstens 19" und eine grosse und umfangreiche Bedienoberfläche sowie ordentliche Peck Meter pro Kanal. ;) Der Wandler ist das A&O, wenn du einen Scheiss Wandler hast kannst du noch son tollen Synthie dran hängen, deswegen würde ich generell vom 1010 Delta abraten. Ausserdem weisst du nicht ob es so gute Latenzen hat und wirklich Stabil läuft. ??? Naja zumindest könntest du glaube ich ProTools verwenden, aber nun denn. Wenn du willst können wir uns mal per PN genauer mit dem Thema auseinadner setzen, sofern du Fragen hast. :) Im Prinzip brauchst du auch keine 2 oder 3 Interfaces, wer soll das den bezahlen? Abgeshen davon reichen dir die Anzahl der Kanäle auch gar nicht aus, weil wenn du Outboard hast, also einen Kompressor oder Hall Gerät musst du zusätzlich noch Kanäle für die Insertwege und Auxwege und Return mit einberechnen... Ausserdem musst du nicht vergessen das eben der PCI Bus nur ca 120 MB/s verarbeitet, also ich weiss ja nicht wie es auf dem Bus rund gehen wird, wenn du jetzt 30 Audio I/O am besten mit 96 Khz durchjagst.. das wird eh nicht gehen... Das wird knacken und rattern oder gleich den Sync verlieren, Bei 3 Interfaces brauchst du ohnehin min. eine Masterclock (Wordclock / Mater). Also ich sage mal das du mit einem Interface völlig auskommst, aber dafür eben alles einzeln absampeln musst oder wirklich nur mit Plugins arbeitest. Ich bleibe komplett extern... ich habe mein gutes Anaolg Pult das echt warm klingt, knapp 15 Synthies ( Waldorf XT, Waldorf Micro Q, Crumar Bit 01, Novation Super Nova 2, Vermona DRM MK2 usw.) und ein paar Kompressoren, EQ und ein paar Effekte wie Dynachord DRP 20 oder LExicon MX 400 und den D-two, alles schön auf einer Patchbay. An jedem Kanal meine Inserts für Kompressoren oder EQ sowie 6 Auxwege und Returns. Ich kann jett hergehen und über die Direct Outs der einzelnen Kanäle die Spuren aufnehmen und dann im PC abmischen, oder ich mische es komplett auf dem Pult ab. Naja ein verrückter Technik Freak :D Auch wenn ich nicht der grosse Musik Star bin, hauptsache geile Sounds, gross und viel Kabel Also bevore du dir 3 Delta 1010 kaufst? ich weiss net ob das so gut ist, oder ob du dann nicht hinterher sagt, ey das ist doch nicht so der Hit.

hello, i had the same problems. it worked out, that i had a short somewhere next to J15. If you are sure that Mios is running, you schould recieve one Sysex String in the Mios Studio Midi Recieve Windows when switching on the Core. Try to install any application and have a look... It schould not matter, all displays are compatible. it is either a short or wrong wiring, or the mios installation did not work which could be because of a short or wrong wiring. you should make a break and try again later... disconnect everything, and make sure that mios and apllications are running properly, then try again with the display. maybe first it is easier to try only one display and then later try with both displays... - disconnect everything (display and everything exept of core) - mios studio - upload (wait for request...) - switch on core - the upload should start - after upload completed, the core reboots automatically and sends only one string - clear the midi recieve screen so its blank, and try once to switch off and on the core if the core sends one string its good - applications can now be installed at any state after core has booted, you can try... go ans install just right away the proper application you want, i guess sequenzer? - the core will again rebbot and only send one string, if not or it starts again sending messages every 2 sec. there ist something wrong - if you see everything to be working correct, try again to connect the display, first try only one its easier to see... - also you might can doublecheck for shorts somewhere around the Port as mentioned i had the same problem, and it driven me crazy, because i did not knew what it was. the core semmed to be right, but then also not, sometime it send strings sometimes not.. what ever.. and the display was as yours. i have checked everything, but then at the very end i have unsoldered everything around the J15, clened it and messured for shorts... Wie viele symetrische Returns hat dein Pult? Ist es das Neue Spirit oder noch eines von den Alten (Spirit SX /Folio)

Die Stereokanalzüge am 8 Kanalpult dienen warscheinlich als Auxreturn. Es gibt auch so Knubbel die man an 2 Faderknöpfe koppeln kann um beide auf der selben Position zu bewegen... Das verschobene Stereopanorama entscheidet dann durch Einpegeln (Gain)... Aber nun gut wir sind ja hier im Midibox Forum... sry für Offtopic :D edit: offtopic ist mein 2ter Vorname, mir fällt leider immer irgendwas verwandt- themenbezogen ein 8)

jouuuuuuuu :o Das ist mal krass, also für einen Anfänger glaube ich ist das ohnehin gar nix. Und bevore dann zum Schluss alles rauscht und brummt... Ich habe mir letztens ein altes mitec gekauft und möchte es restaurieren, also mit hochwertigeren Komponenten austauschen. ELNA Audiokendensatoren, Metalloxidwiderstände, neue Fader und Potis.... Aber jetzt das ganze Teil von Grund auf selber zu bauen wird wohl viel viel zu teuer... Nur alleine der Rahmen und die Frontplatten der einzelnen Kanalzüge sind teurer als es das alles Wert sein wird... Und wie gesagt, wenn du Pech hast hast du hinterher für über tsd Euro einen Noiseoszilator gebaut meine Meinung 8) Aber fette Page, kommt gleich mit in die bookmarks

naja, da kann man nur das Beste hoffen... Wenn es was mit dem Zoll zu tun haben könnte, Frage ich mich allerdings was die mit den Knöpfen anstellen wollen :D Ich habe mir die Multimec Taster ausgesucht, die gibts in alle Grössen und Farben, mit und ohne Fenster. Tja, bei mir sieht es ähnlich aus. Ich hoffe mal das ich meinen Sequenzer zu Weinachten fertig bekomme. Naja, ich drücke dir die Daumen, das es voran geht. Bei den Buttons würde ich aber noch keine Angst haben. In anderen DIY Foren habe ich bei Auslandsbestellungen schon von über 3 Wochen Lieferzeit gelesen. :o Wenn du keinen Expressversand, der dich mal 50 EURO Porto kostet... musst du warten :D

if you want to use the sequenzer 2 Layout then not... but as far as i know, the Sequenzer 3 comes with at least 8 more buttons and also more leds one is for switching the display between 16/32 Stepview, some other buttons for easier track access, dec / inc buttons and so on thanks for this one, you just mede me laugh loud, just great :D here ist an other one... i bet its more digital rather than analog you are such a funny guy, i realy apreciate it i realy had a lots of fun reading this topic :D

i also like this layout... actually it looks great but for some reason, because of the coulors i get a little irritated when reading long text so i might keep the old one

this are some nice pictures, the knobs look expensive to me, especial the vandalism button. The BPM Display is a really nice tool and fits perfectly in to the front. i am at most impressed of the Inside, it looks like there is a hidden area for the wiring. this is realy lots of work... but what i real dont like at all is the colour and the different plays / stop switches. i think a black case with the blue lights would have been better, also the same button as the others for play /stop... might be a matter of taste :D This is a realy nice sequencer, you can see that lots of work and money has spend on it :)

i want to say "thank you" especially to the designer of the sequenzer ;D also thanks to the forum members who had a laugh about me and my self made issues just about 10 minutes ago i triggerd the first sounds on my waldorf micro q. it is just great, for some reason it sounds diffrent to when you play cubase patterns. ??? i was allways looking for a good sequenzer, i saw all this groovebox things for years... but i have only hardware synth... so it is realy good because i can use 4 midi out. well i damaged one of the displays during i messed around with the core. i accidently removed the contact thing during unsoldering the wires. but exept of that nothing got broken. now i need the case and thats it... next i want to build the 1176 compressor from gyraf and other stuff, when this is done i go for some more midibox prjects like sid and so on. thanks again, i could never afford so much money for a manikin for example ::)

;D ok, i will change that, this might in fact probably caused the problems. the core did show so many issues and i did not know where they come from i realy was going to get a new core, i did not even wanted to touch it anymore. allready said to a friend, that i will make a youtuibe video with smashing the cre by a hammer or blow it up in to the sky with a roket at new years eve ::) but then i read the post and thought ok then try the update once again. and surprise 8) here a foto

now it works with the display ::) yesterday i realy started to think about what it might be and startet to unsolder everything near the J15 and cleaned everything to make sure there are no shorts. but i thought not about trying it once again. so now i was realy wondering why the upload did work properly and the appliction is running as it schould. now i again beeing realy carefull by soldering the wires into J15 (i solderd the wires directly on to the board without the pins) and it fucking works now ??? i had to many problems to solve, one by one and with every problem i found i fucked up something else... :-X oh dear, at least i learned something this way. and i am realy surprised about how robust it al is, because when i think about how much i messed around it realy is a wonder nothing is realy damaged.
