I can do that, it won't take much time at all :) ...I think I want to get the filter type selector and waveform selector up to snuff before I export an FL version, this way I don't have two to update. But I definitely will as I use FL as my primary sequencer.
-
that's exactly what I needed, thanks :)
-
Maybe I'm just being dense, but could somebody explain these sections of the CC implementation chart to me in plain English? It would help me greatly, thanks. (I attached the sections of the CC chart as an image to retain the formatting)
-
Speaking of an FL version, I haven't tested this in FL, but I could make a native FL version too if anyone wants it.
-
Theoretically, it could, but I haven't figured it out yet. There are modules to allow sending sysex strings, but I haven't messed with them enough to know whether it would work or how to make it happen. The midi event module, which is what is really needed for make sending NRPNs easy, doesn't work properly from what I understand. To be honest though, I kind of like the fact that using the standard CCs is non-destructive.

I updated the files in the first post. I found a couple bugs and fixed them, but there are still plenty more to be fixed :)
-
T.K., I only used high level synthmaker modules for this. I'm afraid JUCE looks like it's outside of my skillset.
-
Oh I know I'm in way over my head. It's just that I have synthmaker, some free time, the cc implimentation chart, and nobody had posted a VST editor that I was aware of. :)
-
and that's not even all of them :)
-
Right now, I just hope it works. :) The only thing I've tested is that it does, in fact, send midi out. But I only checked that it was making the lights on my midi port blink  In theory it should work, but I won't know until I can test it after work today.

I've been working on this in synthmaker for the last few days. It's a VST control surface for your Midibox SID. I used the standard CCs instead of NRPNS, because I do not know how to work with NRPNs in synthmaker yet. I believe I've found and fixed most of the bugs, but it's possibel there could still be one or two. *please note that this only works with the lead engine. To Do: * test in multiple hosts * ensure all parameters can be automated * fix osc and filter selectors * fix bank select knob * fix VCA sustain knob bug * fix knob sensitivity * GUI needs work (possibly add tabs to shrink the overall size) * currently, only midi channel 1 is used, add selector for other channels* improve waveform selector * add filter type selector MIDIBoxSIDKontrol.zip

That's gorgeous. Great work man! -
Sammich - Heatsink Compound/Wall Wart Power Supply
Labelwhore replied to marcolex's topic in MIDIbox SID
What I used must not have been silicone because it certainly is conductive.(I'm not certain what brand it is, but I got it from a computer specialty shop) I got some of it on the legs of one of the voltage regulators and wasn't getting the right voltages where I should have been getting 5v until I cleaned it up. Actually, the voltage regulator wasn't the only place I got the stuff, I was finding it smeared on crap for the next two days :) -
Sammich - Heatsink Compound/Wall Wart Power Supply
Labelwhore replied to marcolex's topic in MIDIbox SID
Conductive heat sinking compound actually works, just make sure not to get it everywhere like I did and you'll be fine :) Of course, after I cleaned up my mess, everything worked perfectly. -
haha I thought about painting the logo on my Sammich exactly like you did yours. In the end though I just did the whole sandwich in red and the lettering in white.

Sammich - Heatsink Compound/Wall Wart Power Supply
Labelwhore replied to marcolex's topic in MIDIbox SID
There is a link to a power supply from All Electronics (in the US) in the Sammich prototype thread. Shipping to Toronto shouldn't be too much. -
Firstly, since you say you have a midisport 2x2, is it the anniversary edition? M-audio haven't released drivers for any 64 bit version of windows for the old one.
-
MB 6582 can have up to 8 SIDs whereas the Sammich only has a stereo pair, the modular variety MB SID can have anywhere from 1 SID to 8, you choose. Also, with the Sammich, you can't use superpoly mode due to only having 2 SIDs. Then obviously, there is the control surface differences. For your last question: So far, I only have my sammichSID working but if I could have 3 it'd be the Sammich, my MB 6582 based MB SID, and an MB FM

MB-SEQ V3/V4 Control Surface PCB and matching case
Labelwhore replied to Wilba's topic in MIDIbox SEQ
just added my name to the waiting list edit: ah man, I just saw the post about no more orders :( I'm keeping my name on there just in case another bulk order gets started. -
It is possible to make touches sensor in motorized faders ?
Labelwhore replied to djsampling's topic in Tips & Tricks
You probably should use a different translator, because that one is not working very well :) -
Oh the irony! :P
-
the presets are on the MIOS download page in the .zip hat has the MB SID firmware
-
That would only be true if midi data is generated by the release of one of those buttons. For example if those 2 C# buttons are actually wired to the same points, the connection would only be broken when you let go of the last C# button and hence only one note off signal would be sent.

No screenie, but I can tell you that it's the buffer settings window accessed via the sysex panel's menu rather than the buffer settings that can be accessed via the options menu. I enabled the delay after F7 and set the delay up to 1000 and set the chunk size to 60 (which was overkill but worked)

I never found the thread, but I found the setting in midi ox :)
