  1. I tried various different makes before the Sandisk, not sure why the others were not reliable. Would it be possible to modify the operation of the metronome to make it independent of G1T1? It would be nice to specify time signature based solely on the BPM, e.g. 3/4 4/4 etc. As there is a dedicated button for the metronome already, it would make it easier to turn on and off rather than making a track into a metronome and having to find the mute when it's not needed. Thanks Tim
  2. I recently built a MidiboxCV using a self made PIC core, I had no issues with programming a blank PIC with my Microchip ICD2. As Julien says use the last bootloader, downoaded from ucapps website.
  3. Hi All, I've been playing with beta35, I have noticed that the scroll function corrupts the tracks that I scroll through when there are >=17 steps. I find that instead of just moving to the next 16 steps, all steps are moved by 2 or 3 steps. Also scrolling only goes in one direction and all 256 steps must be scrolled through before getting back to step 1. I am not sure if this is expected behaviour, or a hardware problem (or worse a lack of understanding on my part). UPDATE, I have tried beta33 and the scroll function does the same thing. I have also checked the hardware thoroughly and found no problems with the construction. Is there a simple answer? I cannot find a solution in this thread or the user manual. Any help would be appreciated. OK, dumb question, RTFM is the answer, as always it was hidden in plain sight. After going round in circles try to get the SD card to work reliably, I found that Sandisk cards work fine 100% of the time, maybe this will help others avoid much frustration. Cheers Tim.
  4. Thanks for the tip woolsey, 5 displays for £16.22 ($25.69 US) shipped to the UK is an absolute bargain.
  5. Mo I am not familiar with the programmer you are using but I have had a similar problem with a Microchip ICD2 in MPLAB. Make sure your source code correctly defines the pic as a 16F88, also if the programmer software allows a manual change of pic then select the 16F88. I would then try to erase and rewrite the pic to see if the problem is solved. Hope this helps. Tim..
  6. 1 black case added to the list, I hope I am not too late? Tim..
  7. Thanks TK, the answer is much appreciated, I will try formatting the card as suggested. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to use this thing in anger :)
  8. Hi, just completed the build of my MBSEQ, I am having trouble with the SD card. The firmware reads the hwcfg file ok and I can create session files but sometimes get error messages, E3 and E11 (these are not displayed for long enough to read all the details). This extract from the manual states: "Some additional files are required for Patterns/Songs/Mixer pages. The firmware won't create them automatically, instead it will ask you to go to UTILITY->DISK menu, where you will find a "Format" option at the left side. Activate this function to create the files." I have nothing in the left display when in the UTILITY->DISK menu so cannot create these files. Have I missed something or is this function no longer applicable, do I have to create them manually? Regards Tim. PS I have tried several different cards and changed the cable between the core and sd socket.
  9. Added 2 chips & 2 PCBs to the list too, Thanks Tim..
