My AY-3-8912 says to say "bleep bleep bloop"  ;D

edit: Actually, why doesn't he just say "hi" himself... ;-) Admittedly you can only get so far with random values in the registers but hey - it's a sign of life. Oh yeah, and ignore the -30db noisefloor it's not from the AY which is amazingly quiet but from my soundcard...

You can easily leave out the opamp buffer board for testing. Just connect all three outputs via 10k resistors and add a pulldown of 1k-5k from that signal to ground.
