Labelwhore
I've been scouring mouser to try to find an equivilant to the tactile switches used on the midibox sid in the picture below. I though they'd be easy enough to find, but no dice. Anybody have a mouser part number, or know another place to get them?
Labelwhore
nevermind, I finally found them at digikey, part number P12226STB-ND
nILS
How about Mouser #858-SWT6-V7MD?
Labelwhore
How about Mouser #858-SWT6-V7MD?The dimensions of the (what do you call that the plunger?) don't quite look right. It's not tall enough. I found all kinds of switches on mouser with shorter plungers, but not any taller ones. Mouser's cheaper though with faster shipping, so I prefer them to digikey. They're the right size for an MB-6582 which I'm sure of because I've got a few (but not yet all -- sorry Wilba) installed. The mouser page for these tact switches is at: http://www.mouser.com/catalog/635/1514.pdfNote that the H column for the switches on that page is the stem height, not the total switch height. The switch I list has a 13mm high stem. See the ALPS datasheet for these at: http://www3.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/PDF/Switch/Tact/SKHH/SKHH.PDFOn page 3 of that datasheet take a look at the dimensions for the vertical type switch and note that this basic switch is available with stem heights of 4.3mm up to 17mm, though 13mm is the tallest stem that mouser seems to carry. nebula
Just to add: 100 gram force is the way to go. I used some spare switches I had on hand for my MB-6582, and they are the 160 gram variety. They're good, but they're a bit too clicky. They are part # TL1105DF160Q (you can search for that on Digi-Key and get my switch). Change the "160" in the part number to "100" (i.e. TL1105DF100Q) and you get the 100 gram flavour, but beware - the actuators are brown! amp1ron
The mouser part number 688-SKHHDT I listed have 13mm black 100gf stems/actuators. A little bit but not too clicky for me.

Although the datasheet refers to "stem height", this refers to the switch's height including the stem. 13 mm is indeed the total height of the switch as it stands off the board, i.e. not including leads.
