Is Scotland not a country? ;)

Scotland is part of the United Kingdom, as is Wales and Northern Island.  :)

There was that big wall there seperating us, built when the Romans suddenly found a land inhabited by 7 foot giants armed with huge claymores, but it's not much of a wall anymore.

FREEDOM!!! AND SHEEP!! *cough*

Seems many places in England are still a bit stuffy about accepting Scottish minted notes.

Or is that little misunderstanding all in the past? ;)

You're confusing Australia with New Zealand ;) (that's like confusing Canada and USA, or England and Scotland)

It's a misunderstanding. Scottish bank notes are not legal tender in England, or as far as I know the whole of the UK, including Scotland. People have mis-interpreted "legal tender" as meaning that you cannot use any money which is not legal tender to buy things. In reality, legal tender refers to what you can legally use to pay off any crediters (restricted to a certain amount of coins, notes, etc.) ... basically, it's bullshit.

In the past people have also being dodgy about accepting Scottish notes because they were easier to forge due to their security measures, and also, people didn't know what they looked like so could not check them properly.

They're also a yucky shade of brown / tartan and play the bagpipes loudly at night.

You're confusing Australia with New Zealand Wink (that's like confusing Canada and USA, or England and Scotland)

But isn't America the same as Canada?  :P

I  have worked with a whole bunch of american and canadian crews over the years

to stir up the seppo's we used to tell them we would just pretend they were canadians

They never once got the joke. the canadians always understood so i guess thats the differance. :P
