latigid on Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Still relevant I feel. Mostly for the BLM, but also for older Cores, to gain 4 MIDI outs or if you don't need/want the MIDI ins. How 'relevant' is the quad IIC at this point in time? I thought it was pretty much replaced by the Midi IO module. Quote
Rowan Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Another reason that it's still relevant is that it provides 5v midi outs where as the MIDI I/O module has 3.3v midi outs. I found some gear won't play nice with a 3.3v midi signal. Quote
Altitude Posted August 30, 2015 Author Report Posted August 30, 2015 Hmm. I still have the files for the version I did before Smash did his.. Maybe time to touch that up with a different 7pin connector? Quote

I've bought these connectors from this seller before and the fit the 4 x IIC PCB perfectly. Quote

latigid on Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 Heh, again it's an 8-pin connector! This is the one I've bought for my cable:Mouser: 523-T3504-001It's very nice, but a bit pricey. And with the above mentioned DIN-8 ;) socket, you have to remove the screw collar to get it to mate properly  Quote
Altitude Posted August 31, 2015 Author Report Posted August 31, 2015 duh. keep thinking 7 pins for some reason Quote
