Midibox Drum Triggers

Hi

Tom Scarff suggests an 8 way velocity sensitive drumpad controller.

I got it up and running (without  lcd and buttons) in 20 minutes using only 10k resistors wired to 8 pins of a PIc16F877 . I works fine, I just need to make some better piezo pads. Thought this info could come in handy for a midibox version.

I'm interested in building cheap solution for triggering drums (meaning more drums for the amount of money) and thinking of using pacific drumxtreme usb boxes for that. I could get these boxes for 15$ from one of their spare parts support guy, so definately worth a try. They seem to use standard piezo triggering.

These boxes are velocity sensitive and use HID driver, so I assume Rejoice and new Bidule could translate the incoming data to midi.

Has anyone tried these boxes with translating to midi?
