Where can i find good knobs for building my Midibox SID?

I'm searching for the old '70 style knobs.

Another question: is there a difference between a pot and a rotary encorer?

There's a great difference between pot and encoder.

These are completely different parts

A pot changes the resistor (analog) while changing the value and a rotary encoder "sends" on/off messages (digital).

A pot is only turning once ie not quite 360 deg

where an encoder can spin round & round like a jog/scrub wheel

MIDIbox SID doesn't support pots, but only rotary encoders. Thats the better solution anyhow - you want to have jumpless switching when changing the oscillator, LFO, ENV, SID number - or the whole patch
