raphael
Use the optimized one! It's optimized for best signal/noise ratio.

TK.
You know, how to desolder a 7805?Best Regards, Thorsten.
tokyomatik
probably i sound stupid but to ask before to act for a beginner is always betterit's just, that for looks a bit weird everything;i mean, first i did core module following the instruction included the 7805and then to give power to it, with the optimized psuyou have to remove it...it's like unusuali'm removing it...stop me if i'm wrong!!!i have to make a bridge with those 3 holes? SounDuke
Nono! No bridges just desolder it so It will not regulate the current as the psu already delivers stable and regulated current. with bridges you would short circuit the core
tokyomatik
anything else?what about the sid module?should i modify it too?
moebius
Ahem.Actually all the information is in the mbhp_4xsid_c64_psu_optimized.pdf Just read the small print. :DSo, you better jumper between Pins 1<->3, where the 7805 was. ect. Just study the circuit.Bye, Moebius
thefRont
as moebius just said, you have to unsolder the 7805 and solder a bridge between the outer pins instead. Some of the other parts needed for power regulation are not needed anymore as well but it's ok to leave them where they are.
